  1. I just saw on a Apple tech news site that Wemo (Belkin) now has an outdoor smart plug with HomeKit, Alexa, and Google support, Then in the comments, someone noted that TP-Link has one too, but it doesn't have HomeKit support, just Alexa, and Google. It looks like there are a lot of other competitors too. These could be good for outdoor tubs and ponds.
  2. I would like to purchase 10 packs of air stones, check valves, and USB air pumps with less packaging.
  3. I love organic soil tanks. If you want to do shrimp with more than one fish in a small tank, Ember Tetras can do well with shrimp. This is my 7.5 cube.
  4. Some of my mulm is from stirring dirt, with more from big pieces of Mopani Wood breaking down and getting grazed, especially by my loaches. My Yo-yo actively digs out holes in the wood for his efficiency apartment. In my tubs, more mulm comes from leaves falling in and getting broken down by snails.
  5. Utility tanks, now with sponge filters.
  6. Gorgeous Bettas and excellent photography! Well done.
  7. Your aquarium plan sounds great. Ember Tetras are very chill, good with shrimp, and would fit your concept. Celestial Pearl Danios would also look good. Cheers
  8. I've got a sponge filter assembly line going. I just converted my utility tanks to sponges, and added sponges to my window shrimp tanks. I'm also prepping more for the tubs, and a future tank.
  9. I have moved bullies, including a Rainbow Shark. It is a good move, if you have enough tanks.
  10. Awesome! If you add power, you could add USB, and optional network drops. Will you be using any automation?
  11. I just got the hatchery, to go with the breeder box, and the egg tumbler. I'm ready to level-up, but I don't want to rush anything. I bred brine shrimp accidentally in marine canister filters, just as a side-effect of live rock. They were a cool part of the ecosystem. I think what I will have to dial in is quantity, since I do not have a lot of gallons to feed. I still have a five-gallon bucket of marine salt, which is now useful again.
  12. This is my very messy 16 bow tonight, which gets ambient light from five different windows, even with drapes and blinds. I really need to move it to a better location. It grows algae like mad, and all the fish just hang out in the crypts, except for the yellow shrimp, who do what they want. New additions are a pair of Killifish, and what might be a Siamese Algae eater, although I may have picked a Flying Fox by accident. I only put the Killifish in here because I have an optional lid, but I might move them to my Askoll 20 which has the water level lower because of the tank graphics.
  13. I hope you frame some of these photos to decorate the new place.
  14. I think @Tazawa Tanks has at least one video on his fish room rebuild. I’m not caught up on @Guppy Guru, but I think he is working on version 2.0 of his Guppy Garage. I think you will get the best advice from anyone who has done it twice or more, which obviously includes Cory and Dean too.
  15. Welcome to the forum! I would keep it simple and just use some nano or small (depending on height) Co-Op Coarse Sponge Filters. I also like internal MF10s for moving water horizontally. You can go no-filter on some types of established tanks, but I would not recommend it to someone just starting out. I have pico and nano tanks in my indoor aquariums journal, if you want some small tank examples. Cheers
  16. Speaking only of webcams, the Brio 4K is good at filming small tanks at close range, but you have to use the app to get the right control.
