  1. Anyone know how to trouble shoot the Kasa Plugs? Suddenly they will not work and I am getting a device may not be powered off or out of network range.. and I never had that issue before. I turn my power bars off to do water changes etc. all the time and they always worked.. now suddenly they won't. My WiFi is working so I am not sure what the issue is. I checked site.. and its clear as mud what I need to do to fix it.. Anyone know ???
  2. Hey everyone, im hoping someone can help me out. I purchased a KASA smart plug for one of my aquariums. However I can’t get the light to turn off. I have to do that manually. It will come on automatically each day but for some reason it will not do the same for the off function. Here are my setting (see pic). What have I done incorrectly with the light schedule? TIA
  3. Stupid question but here goes. Corey if i have 3 lights and going with Co2 would i need 1 kasa timer for the 3 lights and 1 for the Co2 if i wanted the Co2 to go on 1 hour before? Thanks in advance .JT
  4. A week or two ago I left my filter off all night after feeding my guppies and one was dead in the morning. I'm guessing low o2 played a role in its demise as it was happy looking the night before. Vowing to never forget isn't an option for me because i forget everything, so I got one of these wifi plugs from amazon (link below) and wrote a little service on my PC to check on the plug and turn it back on if its been off for more than two minutes. The wifi plug also has a button on the side so instead of unplugging the filter I just tap the button, feed, and whatever the guppies don't get in 2 min gets pushed down by the filter for the shrimp. Just thought it was a neat trick for those forgetful nerdy nerms out there. (EDIT: see post below for aquarium-co-op store link )
  5. Hello everyone I just purchased two of the kasa wifi timers and I’m a bit confused on setting the schedule. I have a fluval aquasky which has sunrise and sunset and I’m trying to do the same on this but I feel like I’m doing something wrong I’ll post a picture of what I have hopefully someone with some knowledge can help. Basically I want my sunrise to go from 7 to 8 a.m. and then sunset from 3 to 4p.m.
  6. Hey everyone, just wanted to ask members of the forum that has the kasa wifi timer. Lets say I set the kasa to turn on at 7am. If my internet is not on until 9am, does the kasa still follow through with the programing and turn on at 7am? I ask this because the last wifi timer I had will not follow the programing if there is no wifi, even though the program is set in the app and presumably stored on the timer.
  7. Electricity flickered (thanks southern Vermont) and all my new Kasa WiFi Light Timers turned on despite being set to off based on scheduling. I'm not sure what to think because we have not infrequent regular electric flickers (like at least one a week). It makes me think I should have stayed with 1970s tech timers.
  8. Just thought I’d put this here WiFi plug from aquarium co op you must download the last app to use it. However @Cory though you said in a video of you plug a power strip into it you can control each switch. Is this the case snd if so how do we do such if my miss herd my apologies
  9. I think I understand some of the benefits of using light siestas and have seen a lot of the programming complexity people get into. I have a Finnex Stingray for my 10 gallon as well as an outlet timer. What methodology do you use (and what variables play into) determining an appropriate on/off cycle?
  10. How do I change the internal timezone of the kasa smart outlet? The app is showing the right timezone but the outlet shows 2 hours behind. It's not a huge deal but I would like them consistent and can't figure out how to change.
  11. I just setup a few these and I couldn't be happier. Very intuitive to use and create schedules. One schedule to turn ON and another to turn OFF. Simple. Also I wanted to share that it will fit in a 4-gang outlet which I was unsure of. I'm using one to control my CO2 solenoid and the others for lights
  12. When using the wifi timer for lights, do most of you plug in only one light, or is it ok to plug in an entire power strip to the timer? I want to make sure that doesn't qualify as "daisy chaining."
