I was sick and generally ignored a tank in the basement (nerites but no fish, filtered, lights on a timer) for a couple of months. Algae (?) was so bad I decided to "let it ride" for another month. Now this! Algae? Bacteria? Plant rot (mostly on the buce)? It looks like seaweed and has a similar consistency, kind of like firm jello. It's so bad it's interesting but time to clean it up. 40 years of keeping and I've never see this. Thoughts please. Treatment?

Do any sellers that ship angelfish source through Dean? I'd love to get some of his blue angelfish but the drive is a little too far (by about, oh, 2,500 miles).

I'm considering an angelfish centric tank. What is the best and most reliable source of information about angelfish online? Can be websites, videos, Facebook groups, specific breeders, whatever... Thanks..

Setting up a 48 gallon, heavily planted aquascape. Looking for stocking ideas for peaceful fish that "hang out". Don't want highly active fish, no zoomers, no big schools, no bettas, no big fish. Yes shrimp and otocinclus. Considering (among others) small glass cats.

I'm using a FLuval 50 watt. It works perfectly but you need to use a full 2 liters. I stuff a little paper towel around the top to keep it perfectly horizontal and have the bubbler output right next to it to keep flow moving up it and circulating through the hatcher.

These are really good eggs! Going on 6 hatches, all with good success. I use the Ziss blender (that name????) with about 2 liters of water. Is there a minimum amount of eggs that need to be used for that amount of water? I don't need a huge amount of food and want to be able to use them all in two or three days. (I ask in case hatching eggs secrete a hormone or other chemical that trigger other eggs to hatch).
