  1. Yeah, I would have to say all the production/supply problems. All of our LFSs have very limited stock right now.
  2. Never used it but as stated above, Tractor supply sales it for $10 a bag. I think it comes it two different sizes as well.
  3. Petco dollar per gallon right now. 10 gallon, 10 bucks. Get you an Aquarium Coop sponge filter, usb airpump, ziss airstone, and a little airline tubing. You'll need a lid and a light. Possibly a heater. That should do it.
  4. I wish I could give you real insight; but, I'll say I've had similar issues with guppies in the past. Suddenly, mine took off like crazy and now I have no problems. No idea what I did differently?
  5. Only problem I could see is feeding. The angels I have are picky eaters that kind of peck at food slowly. My rainbows are insane, high-speed car crashes when they eat. If they were in the same tank, I would be watching to make sure the angels get some food. Otherwise, I think you would be good.
  6. That's funny we posted at the same time because my 75 is very similar. Boesmani Rainbows, clown plecos, corys, and cherry barbs. Lots going on in that tank. I've got about 20 Rainbow babies I hatched out about a week ago. Man those things are tiny.
  7. Pick a rainbow fish you like and get a bunch. Super high energy and entertaining.
  8. I have an xray tetra that is the boss of my mbuna tank. You never know what will work if it has to.
  9. I played with plenty of crayfish as a kid. I would think it would take a lot more than that to hurt one. That exoskeleton is pretty hard.
  10. I think @Cory should make an improved grilled cheese maker for camping.
  11. I tell my wife "it was an accident" everytime I set up a new one. Does that count?
  12. Did they seem to stay shallow in the colder weather or should I wait til it warms up?
  13. If you're fairly sure you'll lose them to predation, I would go for it with the turkey baster and hope for the best.
  14. I'm really tempted to go try to catch some. They're literally in the rivers just down the road. Just have no idea what I'm doing. I would assume you would use a minnow trap style thing. One day I'll give it a shot.
  15. Old boy's made it this long with that PH in the old tank...leave it be.
  16. I use both. I think the process of freeze drying can cause the loss of nutrients but don't really know. I will say, a frozen sheet of blood worms will feed a ton of fish.
  17. Two sponge filters and the air bar may be all you need. I have a quiet low, it's "meh". Wish I would have bought the tidal or a fluval instead. That hob is on a cichlid tank so they make a mess.
  18. If you are running sponge filters, I with everybody else...use the USB airpump. I can't hear it at all. If it's it hooked to anything, I have to hold it my hand or hold the air to my ear to know it's working. I haven't had one fail; but, for the price I can't imagine they'll last forever. I just keep a couple of extras. I'm running 7 of them.
  19. Unfortunately the downside to guppies, they only last a couple of years. Probably why they reproduce the way they do. Hope he pulls through, you never know.
  20. 9 Aqueon tanks here and no fails (shouldn't have said that out loud). But your in the Seattle area. I would make a trip to Aquarium Coop and see what they suggest.
  21. My local Petco has them listed as punctatus. But, looking at them, I swear they’re paleatus.
  22. Another thing I didn't see mentioned. If you bought all the guppies all at once from the same place, it may not have been your tank at all. It could be they were sick before you ever added them.
