  1. Update, My crayfish usually pushes snails over so it was shocking to me unfortunately come to find out she was actually dead and now I cry myself to sleep
  2. I recently got a snail for my crayfish tank because I can't keep up with the algae and my crayfish is also having an issue with keeping clean she has a lot of algae on her I looked over and the snail is literally on top of my crayfish and my crayfish is chilling doesn't even care which is very shocking cuz she's usually very combative and she's alive so I don't even know what to think here's a photo has this happened to anyone else?
  3. I live in NY so not too far from Canada. And yes I understand but to be fair I did like at the website first and he isn't selling what I would like so then I came here for a second resort haha
  4. Hi! So I am looking for some websites that are safe to buy plants from I know Aquarium Co-Op sells them but they don't sell everything I am looking for! any other places any one can recommend for me!? thank you!
  5. So this has happened in my tank before and I just recently upgraded to a bigger tank. I have an electric blue crayfish and about a year ago I had this issues with white little worms all over the tank glass. Some people suggested it was just paragonimus and that it was normal for a crayfish but I had not had a problem before. After using some parasite cleaner and being very thorough with water changes they went away. this morning I fed my crayfish some blood worms and yesterday I cleaned her tank fresh so there was no other food in there until this morning and I noticed when I got home they are back and this is the first time this has happened in a year!!!! the last time this happened I was feeding her a lot more blood worms and now I only feed her them once in awhile. Could the blood worms be causing this? and if so what other sources of protein could I feed her to avoid parasites like this because I was planning on adding a snail into the tank to help with algae since she has had no issues with snails in the past.
  6. @Anita I was hoping this was the case but they seem to be eating my plants is that normal?

    Help Worms

SO I have had a worm infestation for awhile now and what I have been trying isn't working and I think the only other thing I can use to get rid of them is the API General Cure but I am afraid it will hurt my crayfish I have had her almost a year and she was big when I got her so she isn't a baby but I wanna make sure it will be okay for her. They are not only all over the tank but also on her so I need her to be in the tank when I dose it! Thank you! I have tried not feeding and traps as well as Prazipro these are the worms on one of her molts the are usually on her and the glass
  8. @JamesB I've tried not feeding and it doesn't seem to work Also when I have used a trap with bait that doesn't work either when doing research on different parasites and worms and what to use the general cure is what's recommended for what she may have its def no what is in that video
  9. @JamesB so they are on the glass and on her I have tried the food thing and a worm trap both haven't worked and I tried PraziPro and it hasn't worked either. Here are some photos of the glass and a recent molt of the worms all over her molt

  11. @Colu any suggestions on how to handle this??? I know of the tooth brush method but if you look at my posts my poor crayfish hasnt had the easiest two months and i am afraid she is going to stress to death if I try that.
  12. Side note its impossible to get a photo of them but the two white spots are the worms
  13. I was looking at my crayfish because she has eggs and just wondering how they are dying and i noticed there are some small worms on her mouth then u noticed two on the glass I need to know what kind they are what to do!!
  14. @gardenman No male so I figured not! But I read somewhere they could hold sperm for months. She was alone in her tank when I purchased her though and shes released the eggs and I read she holds onto them until they hatch so I assume they are not fertile.
  15. So my blue crayfish overnight laid eggs. I woke up and saw some eggs on the gravel floor and also some still attached to her she wasn't like this yesterday and I assume because they are not attached they are not fertile right? I read they are suppose to stay under her until they molt two times but this just happened overnight and they are already released.
