  1. Had to go to the warehouse today so snapped some pics towards the end of the day. Show off the lunch room as well. Nothin too fancy.
  2. I'm actually super into this. I think it's really cool when people make different themes. It brings so much interest for me as I've seen convention wood/rock/plant setups a billion times.
  3. Interesting, I hope to give this a try, have you had overspray land in the tank and the soap is so diluted it doesn't matter I assume?
  4. Just as a minor point, if you hate the mosquitos, look into mosquito dunks, it releases a bacteria that prevents mosquitos and is fish safe. However I have not tested it with daphnia, so not sure there.
  5. I try to remove/hide equipment. Things like thermometers, don't have to stay in all the time, The airline tubing could be changed to black. Getting plants to grow taller to cover filter intakes/returns. I also like having light at the front of my tanks, which is harder with a bow front, but it gets rid of the fish shadow when fish are right up front, instead they are nice and bright.
  6. Something plant related, I don't think anyone else on the market has something quite like this 😉
  7. Nice, thanks for the support. Can’t wait to share the next product we have designed 🙂 probably won’t be till late August.
  8. I have hag long discussions with breeders. Most agree that mulm is of benefit as long as overall water paraders seems kept up on. So while unsightly, I believe it is a great fry and plant food that helps sustain larger bacteria colonies.
  9. @Dean’s Fishroom Needs to see this thread, some great brine shrimp hatchers in here.
  10. Until I declare otherwise, donating fish with at most a reasonable shipping cost is allowed. What I don't want to see is Fish are free, shipping is $300. That is just selling. I also don't want it to be super common place where each week everyone is trading/selling instead of purchasing from aquarium co-op or local fish stores etc. I also don't want to see threads popping of of , looking to rehome X. This should be going on in say a thread about the person's fish room and it be natural conversation. We don't want the forum filled with for sale type posts. I've been thinking on this for a bit, thinking of a Random Act of Kindness Threads also known as ROAK from the forum days. This is a fine line to toe, where it's not too detrimental, but also still a good way to deal with a situation such as Daniel's. I believe that if people understand where we are coming from, and will take the warning if we see it getting out of control we can keep it fair. However if we have to, we will just make it a no go if we can't keep it as an easy going thing.
  11. It was added this morning during breakfast. As I find the time I'm continually doing little behind the scenes things for the forum 😉
  12. Any chance your male betta is building a bubble nest?
  13. MTS are super hardy so it's hard to think they are dying out. I'd say just try getting the tank back into shape and see if any snails reappear.
  14. I like the lava rock substrate in the first tank. I've seen some others do it and I've always been intrigued to try it.
  15. How often are you replacing the root tabs? Swords can get to the point where they are needing like 10 a month as they get big. Also make sure you have 20ppm nitrates in your tank from easy green. As you have more plant mass they eat it faster.
  16. They service most fish stores in Washington state. Typically retail stores won't buy from someone who is selling to their customer. I'd feel the same way. I wouldn't partner with them if they were selling to my retail customers also.
  17. By the way, I tried a couple different solar powered battery banks and never had one that worked well enough with our norwest sun exposure. I am hopeful that someone can find one that'll run a remote pond as I think it's doable.
  18. Had to stop by the warehouse to get some more plants and supplies to work on the 800g today. I thought it looked cool to see a bunch of people ordering our branded products on the belt.
  19. I would quarantine with salt and see how it looks after a month or so.
  20. Nice, let that micro sword grow in before the sterbai go in, as they'll be rooting around for snacks 😛
