  1. They are beautiful fish, but even though they are small they can be a bit feisty. They can wreak havoc on shrimp and such.
  2. These are my favorite snails. If I could only have one type of snail it’d be hard to choose between these or Malaysian trumpet snails.
  3. I’m not a fan of rimless really. I do enjoy the marine land 93 cube and their glass top design.
  4. I think this happens quite frequently. I found new fry yesterday I didn’t know I had. I think it happens to me a lot cause I’m busy. When I’m in tune with the fish room not as many surprises. But I kinda set it up so I do get the surprises.
  5. I want IV drip bags filled with live baby brine or green water, daphnia, or rotibers that you hang and control the drips into aquariums to feed over time. id also love it if there was fairy shrimp eggs have vested in mass so it was freshwater brine shrimp essentially.
  6. I’d make sure water temp was below 72 to see if that helps, a fan across the water can help lower it.
  7. Welcome, you should show some pictures of your fish room 😛
  8. Looking good. I love the planters add on.
  9. I should show this in a presentation to the crew lol.
  10. Marina is a sub brand of Fluval for at least the last 12 years, maybe more. They also own the brand Elite, exoterra, laguna, etc.
  11. Busy day today. Got some red bristlenose and shrimp from @Randy and now got some turtles ready for @Bob. It was also time to get air moving in and out of the fish room as the dehumidifier was making to too hot.
  12. This happened to me while filming on Sunday. While filming in my fish room you get to see me freak out real time on camera from finding Albino Kribensis babies. In another post on the forum I mentioned how this pair would just not breed for me after like 4+ months. Even though I’ve bred them before, I still get really excited for new fry!
  13. I don't think the light is your problem. Co2 is usually required for carpet plants, at the very least you'd want to swap away from sand to do a carpet of something.
  14. They can tolerate some salt, they don't like though. From my experience, I don't see anything on that tail that would show me fin rot. I see stress from the blood in the tail, but that would be caused by something other than fin rot, usually temps, or pH.
  15. For the most part, I've never run into a rock that was actually a problem. I'm sure it could happen, but over all the customers and myself over many years. I've never seen it happen personally. I'm sure someone out there has a bad experience. But seems to be pretty infrequent.
  16. Yes, as you probably know they were made to be as close to blood worms as possible in a dry food form. I absolutely love it as a food and recommend it. Not every fish for every person goes bananas for it. But so many fish who are typically picky do. It's a tool in the tool box to have for sure I feel.
  17. The current brand of eggs that we'll be putting out for the coop have insanely good separation. So it makes this step really easy at harvesting.
  18. Honestly this is like my platform for while I am getting away from most social media, because all it takes is 2 comments and you feel great. It also only takes 2 comments to feel horrible. Too often without moderation on social media, you get both and the 2 negative and 15 positive, the 2 negative win out 😞 I honestly enjoy that tank and it inspired me a bit, I've been setting up some jungles to watch them grow in and I can't wait to see them well established.
  19. I’ve been to Hawaii 3 times and love it. I daydream about moving there. I worry that I may grow tired of it and being away from my business would have me worried. But being out in the sun light that. I always come back recharged, new product and video ideas. I kinda think I’m an island life type person. Maybe some day 😛 welcome to the board!
  20. I want to have these made with a diffusing method built in. Basically a T on the end where the water renters would be great. I'm always confused when a manufacturer doesn't update their product when the evidence is clear there is a big user base modifying it. They could offer two options, but I think they'd find everyone prefers it with some type of diffusion.
  21. This is the list of what has come in for the week. Doesn't mean it goes out on the sales floor, waits until healthy. But if it's from my fish room right out, same for dean's fish as we have control over the QT for them.
  22. Oh interesting, if you took out the plants you could do decent levels of salt for that nerite snail since they go brackish, I bet the invaders wouldn't tolerate much salt.
  23. I personally would just use high salt with africans, 1 tablespoon per gallon for these guys in the pictures.
