  1. Just out of curiosity: who owns Aquabid? Their website does not make it clear, that, or I’m missing something.
  2. I tried aquabid for first time lfs tired sick fish I figured getting direct be better and boy I’m happy. so I’ve had them 15 gal fluval water Parma perfect. From I think name sdaquatica 8 super reds 2 inch long, 30 cherry shrimp, 20 zebera snails. so they been in quarantine 2 weeks there very active healthy. Do I really need to trio these or can I just watch them 2 months? Idk how shrimp and 1.5 to 2 inch bristlenose would handle treatment. but there vigorous that’s also another question, they eat ALOT I mean WOW I’ve been feeding them zucchini and French cut green beans and the eat 24/7 till there’s nothing left usually 2 days worth. and then I don’t feed them for 2 days because I don’t want them to explode!! so can anyone help me out and tell me how much to feed these guys? And how you would handle quarantine? I have wood for them in there also I read they eat that also idk.
  3. I’m curious as what you would recommend to use as a website to sell fish online? And what I mean is a personal website that you are creating instead of selling on another platform. Something that doesn’t require a lot of development skills and the operating cost is low. Thanks!
  4. Hi all Has anyone had experience with selling on aqua bid? My main aquarium is a 125 gal planted community tank which is heavily planted with Anubis barteri and Java fern. I have had this tank set up for many years, which has let the Anubis & Java fern become well established. (some might say overgrown 😀) I want to slowly add more plant diversity and open space to my aquarium. Prior to COVID I would take excess plants to my local club, but currently we are not having in person meetings. Has anyone had any experience with selling on Aqua bid? In particular shipping plants like Anubis and Java fern . I have purchased live food starters from Aqua bid, but I have never sold anything. Any insight would be much appreciated.
  5. Does anyone have a go-to, step-by-step guide for effective and responsible selling on Aquabid? The idea seems so good . . . but it also seems a little "wild west" with major potential for quite mixed results between different sellers.
  6. So, for the last 20 plus years I have purchased 95% of my new fish from auctions or fish clubs. With everything going on local clubs are not meeting. Is anyone else having a hard time finding and purchasing what they consider common fish? I have been trying to purchase hatchetfish, clown loaches, blood fin tetras and rummy nose tetras. thanks
  7. I’m looking at purchasing fish on Aquabid, but shipping is likely 3 days. It seams awfully risky/hard on the fish. Anyone with experience on shipping fish other than over-nite?
  8. I have been fighting the urge to set up an assorted fancy guppy aquarium for quite some time and I think its about time. The local stores in my don't have quite the variety that I would like unfortunately. Does anyone have any recommendations for online sellers of assorted/mutt guppies?
