  1. I added a trio of Glowlights to the spawning tank last night, which had been left in the dark for about a week to kill off any parasites. After checking this morning I almost lost heart after not seeing a thing, before spotting this along the seal at the back (sorry for picture quality!) 🎉
  2. That looks incredible! Beware the duckweed:
  3. Haven’t been in love with the desk shrimp tank lately. The shrimp have really good colors (natural sunlight?), but….yeah it doesn’t float my boat so it’s becoming my Daphnia culture.
  4. They’re scary chaps 😳. Last time I went to Singapore I went snorkeling around an island resort just off the coast in Malaysia and saw a couple of black tip juvies. They get pretty curious!
  5. Nice tank! You’re probably one of the Co-Ops best customers 😂. I also had an Endler explosion once upon a time…but my tank was filthy!
  6. Is that a family photo? You must have the cleanest tank ever!
  7. Go for it!! Here’s my basic tetra spawning template :
  8. It usually melts after a week - but we’ve got another inch or so due for Saturday. The glacier I occasionally ski on nearby got a much-needed foot and a half last night. Three days of snow must suck. No free RO water!
  9. I’ve done that and it works ok, but food tends to fall through the bottom, as they’re made more for livebearer fry than Cory fry. I’ve had a couple of dud batches that way. I use the Fluval breeder box and siphon the bottom with a pipette. It also saves you from having to do water changes with a brine shrimp strainer over the end of the hose. 😄
  10. According to the web the males tend to be more colorful and boisterous. Nice tank!
  11. I've managed to spawn glowlights, but I only got seven fry out of their first spawn, and a variety of factors has stopped them for spawning for me again. I'm definitely gonna try them again this weekend. I have had the odd juvenile from my black phantoms, but they tend to get snapped up pretty quickly. Rummy nose tetras are almost the holy grail of hobbyist tetra breeders. They require some really acidic water (pH around 5) with practically no hardness whatsoever. My 7.36 pH and 16° hardness is a bit of a pain. 😅 If you're really serious about it you can try adding peat or peat moss to a spawning tank filled with rainwater with an egg trap on the bottom and hope for the best. Ive tried that setup in my Tetra breeding thread. +@Atitagain has tried several times.
