I’ve reset the spawning tank by draining it completely and letting it sit for a day to kill off anything that may get at the eggs. There’s some peat in the mini HOB to condition the water. Which species should I try? Glowlight or Black phantom tetras???

I used a separate QT tank - not that I’m a big plant guy. 🙃

Im really digging the rocky look you’re getting with the foam! -
I’ve managed to spawn glowlight tetras by adding peat to my rock hard mountain water if you’re feeling like giving it a go…?

Some Asian countries use it in salads if you’re feeling brave…😅

Rounder bellies for females and males have brighter colors and court the females by swimming around in front and alongside them. Sorry for missing that in your first post!

Try Methylene Blue 😂

It all depends on your feeding regime, but they usually reach full size at the age of 7 months or there abouts.

Guppies are pretty hardy, so as long as they don’t show any symptoms at the store, they should be good to go. I’ve still got one of my 1st generation of fry in my display tank after 4 years!

It’s probably the best uplift tube going if you have a mattenfilter. 🙃 The swords will probably like the extra circulation. -
CPD Breeding... because why not?

Have you tried draining the spawning tank in between attempts? I dont seem to get a hatch from my Glowlights or Zebra Danios if the tank has been left to it’s own devices. Repeated failures are depressing! -
Welcome to the forum! What’s the stocking plan for the tank?

Tank raised ones are pretty solid. My Salt’n’Pepper Cories and Aeneus Cories do fine in my 7.3 pH.

How has the CPD breeding worked out @jwcarlson? -
@Lowells Fish Lab does a mix of yeast and water and just pours it in and leaves it to sit.

There’s people like @Cory who quarantine for months on end, but I usually quarantine for about 2 weeks, unless there’s some disease that turns up.

One of my bettas also has one of these. Salt (1tbsp/5 gallons) worked really well.
