  1. I have! I currently don’t have any but I do have a floater corral I’ll be using. Was thinking either red root or frog bit!
  2. 7.3 pH 11 GH 4 KdH 76°F All great suggestions! Some of these I haven’t even thought of!
  3. Thanks for the reply! I currently have Val along the back wall, but since it’s recently planted it hasn’t taken off and grown up yet. I really like the look of the barbs!
  4. Hi all. I have a planted 55 gallon set up for about 5 months now. I have 4 Pearl Gourami and 3 Hillstream Loach. I was looking for suggestions on what would look good to add next. I was thinking about a mid to top tank school of tetra, or even another bottom fish like Kuhli’s or Cory. I will be adding different decor for hideaways or just letting the plants do their job I'm open to any ideas, or even just general discussion. tank for reference (ignore the dirty glass, spilled water from the vac 😅)
  5. Thanks for the confirmation!! I just wanted second opinions, I feel as there isn’t too much of an issue with them. I’ll just get them out as I see them.
  6. I found 2 of these on the same rock my nerite snails were on. Not entirely sure if they came from it or not. From what I can find online they look like moth/drain fly larvae, but I haven’t noticed seeing any full grown drain flies. I wanted to ask others here what they thought. https://youtube.com/shorts/Bq3ovSiHQQw?si=Kw-LG85wcU33NZPX
  7. I appreciate the reply. I feel the fishing line will be easier to remove once the plant attaches itself. It’s only a loop knot so all I have to do to release the knot is pull the tail in the opposite direction it was tied and it’ll release easily!
  8. Appreciate the reply. The line isn’t tight. Only cinched with a loop knot just tight enough to keep the rhizome touching the wood!
  9. First I’ll start with cleanup crew of Peppered Corys and Snails Then I’m leaning towards neon tetras, Kuhuli loach, and German Blue Ram as the centerpiece Im still not set on the stock. I’ve changed my mind a hundred times 😂
  10. Had a tank when I was a kid, and just now getting back into the hobby. I have a planted 55 gallon currently cycling and honestly watched 1000 videos before I even had water in it. I haven’t had it long but I believe I’ve already contracted MTS 😅 Next tank will be a 29 gallon with no ideas yet on stock. in the image is my 55 gallon, with 2 55 tidals and a ehiem heater. The sponge filter is only there to seed it for my quarantine tank
  11. This is the way. This is what I had hoped. I have no fish currently but the plan was to trim as close as I could. Thanks!
  12. I used sterilized fishing line and cinched this Anubias Barteri to my driftwood. Just wanted opinions on how effective this will be. I know the plant gets nutrients from the water column. Also ignore the algae I’m currently waiting on my cycle to finish 😅
