thats the beginning of new java fern plants. let them grow for a while, then pick the small plant off the leaf and plant somewhere else.- 1 reply

a couple assassin snails will help keep the pest snail population in check also.

inside of mine are junk collections of fish keeping stuff aquired over many years. even if i had a camera, id not post pics of any of them. LOL -
if they are constantly down in the 60's, it may slow 'em down some, but anywhere in the 70's its business as usual.

i just rinse them off, pick off any dead parts, and plant them. -
doubtful, you have a large sponge, and a canister filter. unless you are way over feeding, those 2 should handle it.

dont give up because some yoohoo talked trash. i guarantee there are folks that will like how that guppy looks, and if you think its neat, it is worthy of your effort to try and turn it into a strain. good luck with the project.

i dont know. a stronger pump will for sure do the job, but hang on a little bit, and i will bet someone who has tried it will be along.

i dont have a usb pump, so cant guarantee it, but it will likely run the ziss biofilter. it seems to me like it took more air and was slightly noisier for the first few days, after that media moved around with a lower air volume, and it quieted down a good bunch.

not to celebrate, but when not having fry food, i have boiled eggs, and given the fish small pinches of boiled egg yolk.

ill be the odd man out. i use stress coat. doesnt stink, and does the job. i buy the gallon jugs because it is cheapest that way. of course i also believe find what works for you, and dont mess with it.
