    Secretly break into Petco or PetSmart in the dead of night and bag up 35 little ember tetras. With any luck none will die, and on the plus side you can grab a couple of plants while you’re at it 😂

    I really should post more fish stuff (apologies!) but Voltaires Candide ou l’Optimisme is giving me grief. Coming to schools near you @Aiden Carter, be careful! For now it’s going to be a little pic of Pippa, who has turned out to be quite a nice dog 🐶!

    I do agree with you, but the fact is that not many people can afford to spend a lot of $$$ on a fish tank. I, for one, have only ever bought kits because they’re already (normally) dialed in to work with the other components. That has worked relatively well for me, apart from one kit from Juwel which has a dud filter & heater.

    I would say that’s a pretty comprehensive list…what about ‘Ensuring aquatic wellbeing’ as point 6? I came across some planaria killer the other day and the package warned that it was toxic to shrimp. 🤦‍♂️

    Also had that problem when doing a water change - juveniles got sucked into the bucket, went away to fetch a net; 3 or so had jumped out.
