  1. Yes they have a sponge filter with an air stone I really appreciate what you have given me. This has really helped thank you so much
  2. The males where added December 16 Friday
  3. I have to say about 1 month before adding the females. There are moving like normal at a slow consist speed. I think it has gotten worse one of them is sitting at the bottom still alive but just sitting there. The water I tested was from my 10 gal and my quarantine they where both the same. I think my last water change in my 10 gallon was Sunday. My well water has a ph of about 7.8 and my kh and GH looks the same but I use test strips for that and I have a liquid on the way so idk how accurate it is. When I added the males it was 0 Ammonia 0 nitrite ph 8.2,kh 240 and gh 30
  4. No dechlorinator I have well water I live out in the country. My main tank is 10 gallons. Yes I have Anubis, long leaf fern, Java fern, crested Java fern and bacopa. I change water once a week at 30 to 40% I test 2 to 3 times a week and I use an API master test kit the results have been very consistent over the past 4 months
  5. They started the treatment 2 days ago. They started showing signs the same day so I moved them to quarantine. Yes there is a air stone in my display tank and a sponge filter in my quarantine tank. They are not scratching on anything just at the surface swimming. There outer body looks normal fins slightly clamped and they are starting to group up at one of the corners.
  6. Yes the females I have had for 4 months are in quarantine right now with 3 table spoons of salt in a 5 gallon tub with a sponge filter and a heater and thermometer
  7. And to answer you other question I am new to the hobby and when I got my guppies they all did fine without quarantine so I thought it would go the same. Sooo it did not go as planned and I did not quarantine the 2 males and they both died doing the same thing we the females are doing now which is swimming at the top of the tank constantly and some of them are not eating. But the females did not do that before. I just need some help to make sure they don’t die. I have them in quarantine with salt and they are not getting better. Do you have any advise?
  8. The temp of the water was 80 degrees with a thermometer the heater is a little strong. I have it about 4 degrees hotter than usual because I heard it can kill of some things if it is hotter.
  9. Ya I have read that but that did not help
  10. So I just tested my water and my GH is 30 and my KH is 240!!! What do I do!!!!!!
  11. So I have been meaning to get a api KH and GH tester but my local store is still out of stock and I do not think it is water parameters because I have had theses fish in my tank for 4 months and they have been doing just fine. But, they have been like swimming at the surface bit gulping for air but just swimming with there body at the surface.
  12. 0 ammonia 0 nitrite 20ppm nitrate 8.0 ph
  13. So, I just bought 2 male guppy’s to put with my 6 other females to see if I could get babies. Within the second day one died then the next day the other one died they where both had there fins clammed and at the surface at all times and there is no signs from the outside of them that it was ich or external parasites and my other guppies are experiencing the same thing. They are in quarantine with some salt and they are doing the same thing. what do you think it is?
