  1. I use 20 of them. Mostly in my mattenfilters. The ones that clog are any that go near brine shrimp and the ones that are in the smaller mattenfilters with 3/4" pvc tubes. I'm in Florida with liquid rock water. I think some people take the never clog name too serious. At least you can bring it back to life by cleaning it. I seem to have the best success and very minimal to zero clogging when I barely screw the end cap on. I really like the air stones that come with the ziss breeder boxes and tumblers. The smaller size and simple design works great in my smaller uplift tubes. I would buy some if they were offered.
  2. LF1170 models can be set to any temperature between 90 degrees F and 160 degrees F with flow rates as low as 0.5 gpm and as high as 23 gpm. LFL1170-M2 models can be set at a range between 60 degrees F and 120 degrees F. Available with threaded (-UT), solder (-US), PEX Quick-Connect (-QC) or CPVC connections. Maximum Pressure: 150psi (10 bar). Lead Free* cast copper silicon alloy body construction. this is info directly from the manufacturer. search google for LFL1170-M2 0559110 another valve option is the honeywell sparco am-1 its range is 70-180 search google for AM100-US-1LF im trying to help as much as I can without violating forum rules. there are lots of different sku combinations based on size of pipe and type of pipe, the valve part stays the same.
  3. The "lo-temp" models by watts. They are 60-120 temp range. This crazy link opens a spec sheet for the valve. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.markssupply.ca/ASSETS/DOCUMENTS/ITEMS/EN/Watts_LF1170-US-M2_Manual.pdf&ved=2ahUKEwjlzMSn9fPtAhULVK0KHRqEA74QFjAMegQICBAB&usg=AOvVaw2tONWDGVtGv910CBpFZC24
  4. I use the mytouchsmart wireless controlled outlets over "smart" plugs. I have used them and their in-wall timers. The wireless model's brain is powered by 3 aaa batteries. It keeps track of time regardless of power outages or drops in wifi. You can also add on extra outlets at minimal cost. In wall model has an internal battery backup. They do not control the wireless plugs so can only be used if replacing a light switch or doing your own electric. They both work without bluetooth or internet. I always had issues with smart plugs and the fluval lights going nuts if the power or internet fails but wifi doesn't or vice versa. I really like the idea of Wi-Fi control but I was having issues as this was what worked for me.
  5. I had the great idea of putting my slates near flow from my matten filters to keep them from rotting when attempting to parent raise. Well the fert rates were terrible because the flow blew away what the male was trying to spray on the eggs. 😐
  6. You could silicone in a piece of glass directly under the brace to both sides before it gets worse and the tank bows. once it dries it will be rock solid and the plastic will still hold up your lids. I reinforced one of my tanks this way. It had some damage to the brace from a really hot light melting it. this can be done leaving the fish in the tank as long as the brace hasn't cracked fully and the glass is still being held where it's supposed to be. you can just drop the water level and glue it the nice thing is you can put a really thick layer of silicone on top of the glass and squish it all the way up to underneath the brace and tie all of it together as one big blob
  7. I normally do 1 drop per gal and any size under.
  8. I heat my 125 with a sicce scuba 250w on an inkbird. I have it positioned near one of the split intakes for my fx5. Try the heaters on hand you might be surprised. Took this chart from their website. to use it you find the temperature above room temp you want your tank to be then draw a line to the size tank you have.
  9. If you wanted one to work with wall power you would have to buy one with 120 v AC coil. These have a 24 volt ac coil made to work with sprinkler timers they also sell ones with DC coils of varying voltages. For wall power you would need to wire one side hot and one side neutral to a plug and then have a Wi-Fi timer or some other plugin wall timer tell it when to open by turning on
  10. 1/4" 24VAC NC Electric Solenoid Valve Push-In Connectors Quick Connect 24V AC WWW.EBAY.COM 1/4" Push-In Connectors, Normally Closed. 1/4" PUSH-IN Connectors. It is intended to be used in pressurized... I got these. Plan to hook to orbit bhyve 8 zone wifi controller. They sell in different voltages including wall power.
  11. Will other shrimp do this or do they eat the live eggs?
  12. They may eat some when they're bored or hungry from not eating other fish food. You could also just smash them and let other fish eat them. Free food. Or you could use the snail catcher that the co-op sells.
  13. Nice. Congratulations on both.
