  1. browsing uline I found some cool options. https://www.uline.com/Product/Detail/H-4814/Wide-Span-Storage-Racks/Two-Shelf-Wide-Span-Storage-Rack-Particle-Board-60-x-24-x-36 https://www.uline.com/Product/Detail/H-2195/Wide-Span-Storage-Racks/Wide-Span-Storage-Rack-Particle-Board-60-x-24-x-60 Not sure if 60" width works in your space but it gives you more than enough room for the 75g. I also chose 24" depth, you can use this extra space as a shelf or push the tank flush to the front and hide hang on backs/plumbing in the rear. 5* 10g tanks will fit on the bottom shelf if you install them with the side panel facing out. I dont like the particle board shelfs at all and would recommend replacing them with real wood. Wood prices are astronomical right now so if you do use them make sure you waterproof them as best as possible.
  2. My concern would be that the shelf you linked is the exact "standard" size of the aquarium. I have found that the real numbers are usually +1/2" or more for the tank. The rack you linked may be exactly 48" and 18" but that is from leg to leg. The shelf inside will be shorter than 48" or 18" by the thickness of the uprights and any slop built into the connection with the rivets.
  3. I have their rearing jar system. Had problems feeding once free swimmers, also I had several deaths in the creases between the sponge and uplift tube. Any adjustment would pull wrigglers down and crush them. It was nearly impossible to remove unfertilized eggs or die offs without causing more of the same problem. I like the idea and it obviously works, I think my jar was either too tall(standard) or my uplift tube was too short. The last time I used it the air line pushed itself up and out of the lift tube and all the fry died. May revisit that system in the future. considered making my own uplift tube. Have preferred pulling the eggs and using the ziss box after hatching in a heated jar with meth blue.
  4. I usually set the flow to keep the eggs from gathering together, this seems to stop any rot from spreading if you have some bad eggs. I have also used a tiny bit of meth blue in a container that I use to harvest the eggs. I have filled the tumbler with this but it very quickly gets cycled out when put in the tank.
  5. I use a bunn 64oz pitcher. https://commercial.bunn.com/04238.0000 It hangs on tanks and can hold a 4.5"
  6. I use instant ocean salt also. 2 Tablespoon per liter. 1/2 to 1 teaspoon brine I have found that I get better hatch rates when I scoop tank water from my 125 for the batch instead of tap. I have chloramine.
  7. I've messed with it once or twice for times when you take the slate out and scrape half the eggs off on the lid. 🙃 The other time was one of my many efforts to train a pair to parent raise. They guarded the tumbler until hatch but ate every free swimmer an hour after release. The hard part is getting the eggs off the slate without crushing them. Flow rate was pretty low just enough to fan the eggs and keep them from collecting in the center of the bottom. They lived to free swimmers the 2 times I tried it.
  8. Yeah they are multi-purpose I actually transported a shell dweller hitchhiker back to my local fish store in the tumbler.. It was virtually liquid tight and fit my cup holder perfectly. haha. One other time I used it to transfer fry to my mom's house the same way but that time I used it to acclimate them the water and temperature with a really slow air feed.
  9. I use both. The tumbler until they hatch and then the box to feed and raise them. Get both if possible you will have more options. If you can only get one I would recommend the box.
  10. Had eggs all over the glass on several cory tanks this morning. I am on daily auto water. Pinellas park florida. It also poured down rain randomly for about an hour a day or so ago first time in a while. Edit. Just found this really cool site while trying to see when it actually rained. https://www.timeanddate.com/weather/@z-us-33781/historic
  11. You can use all three. But the heater in the filter is going to be the most efficient if you agree that all the water in the tank eventually moves through the filter.
  12. Anglefish neons and plants the classic og setup. I like the idea of a school of dollars or red hooks. Though they may massacre the plants.
  13. My mom uses it and the frozen baby brine mini cubes. She is new to the hobby and I suggested these as an easier way for her to feed this small food. In her only tank, a 55 planted community, she has been raising a small batch of angelfish fry in a ziss box feeding first bites early then the instant bbs once they could eat it. She now has the pair in a newly setup 20, her second tank, attempting to parent raise. I think these foods are very good for the right scenario.
  14. maybe something like the word "article"

  16. Mine had one if it's claws completely chopped off and it all grew back
  17. If it is not leaking now I would epoxy it and use it.
  18. They can be made to hold it. The challenge will be getting the tank to fit. The same problem happens with 2 40b on a 77" The 77" racks are leg to leg total not shelf size. The shelf is usually right at 72" or slightly under. The tank can still fit if it is less deep than the opening between the front and back legs. You would have to center the tank between the uprights in the middle of the shelf. The issue would be none of the tank is resting near any of the beams. It would be 100% on the wire. I would use 3/4 ply if attempting this. It would span both beams and take care of the potential cantilever between the legs on the small ends.
  19. Just noticed this thread is months old must have hit something on my phone to go back in time while browsing threads. 🙃
  20. I use a 20x4.5 big blue kdf85/catalytic carbon then 2 of the 10" that bill uses. After those I have been using 2 or 3 of the 10" refillable cartridges filled with aquarium zeolite. I need better test kits and time to figure out how long they last and what they really can do but seems to be working so far. My flow is capped at 0.5gpm. I don't do a continuous drip. I have solenoids on the quarter inch water lines that are opened with a controller for set times at my flow rate.
