  1. I was more concerned about the regulator and tubing getting broke, rip off, etc. if it went down.
  2. I built this stand for my 20lb CO2 tank to conceal it and prevent it from tipping over.
  3. I got rid of my 46 bow front when it went unused for a couple years and the silicone felt hard and dry.
  4. I bought fish on overnight trip out of town. All fish survived just fine as documented in my post.
  5. I too like others got tired of using the Ziss hatcher on the stand it comes with. I wanted something to hold them higher, be easy to use, and easy to get them in/out of. I also needed somewhere to mount the inkbird controllers, for the heaters, I want to use. I layed out all the equipment to get an idea of what to make. Someone on the forum mentioned 3/4" pvc tees fit perfectly over the hatchery handle. I can confirm that. I used 3/4" plywood and a kreg pocket screw jig to make a simple three sided frame to mount everything on. I drilled a hole in each side to run the power cords out of using some desk grommets for a clean look. To hold the light bulb in the center I drilled a 1-1/2" hole and mounted it also with pocket screws. I also used a router to smooth the sharp edges. To mount the pvc tees I drilled an 1/8" hole through. Then drilled out the outside hole to 1/4" to allow a screwdriver clearance to tighten the screws. I spray painted the pvc tees with Krylon Fusion. I painted the stand with semi gloss black latex paint. I mounted a power strip on the outside for everything to plug into. I added a switch to each heater to allow easy shut off for cleaning without having to unplug anything. The air pump hangs above on a hook out of the way. I run the air up through outlet as others have done. I use a piece of black corrugated plastic to block the light bulb so I'm not blinded. Underneath them I have dish drying mat to catch any water. What I like about this station is that I only have to unplug the power strip to be able to move the whole unit wherever I want.
  6. I've stuffed a bit filter floss in a gap to stop shrimp from climbing out on the cords and airline.
  7. Inspired by Dean again, I found these squeeze bottles at Walmart for my Xtreme Nano. They work great, the bottle feels compatible to the ACO fry food bottle.
  8. I recently saw Electric Blue Acara at my LFS and have been wanting them since. I think that would be a great choice.
  9. This week I added clumps of Guppy Grass to each tank along a few snails. I added a handful of seasoned co-op biorings behind each mattenfilter and added Fritz 7 to get things cycling. Also added a smoke detector for safety.
  10. More small heaters is better, with an inkbird controller is the way to go. I use two 300w heaters on a reefkeeper lite controller for my 110 gallon tank.
  11. I've been using mounting zip ties lately along with velco straps. For turning on and off all my equipment on all my tanks I use outlet switches on anything I need to switch off/on.
  12. My 40B full of Guppies, Guppy Grass, and Duckweed.
  13. Serpae, Pristella, Lemon, Von Rios, and Redeye. I'd say 10-15 of each species.
  14. I have spawning Kribensis in a 75 gallon with a mix of different Tetras. The Tetra are quick enough to stay out of the Kribs way.
  15. I love the coop sponges. I get some with almost every order. I like slicing them to use under magnetic algae cleaners.
  16. Welcome Paige, sounds like you're off to a great start in the hobby.
  17. Nope, I didn't do any cost comparison. I always knew I wanted glass.
  18. Just finished listening, very interesting and entertaining interview @Daniel
