  1. Awesome! I'm always looking for new foods to supplement. Nice to know my snails can knock one back with me. Lol.
  2. You are awesome Dean! Hope that new product you are using continues to do good things, so we find out what it is. Interested to know what there is that improves brine shrimp hatching.
  3. Great looking start! Should be amazing when the plants start to fill in.
  4. Wow, that is some serious plumbing needs! I'm assuming those big pipes are for draining all the tanks and ponds? It's really amazing the planning and ideas you guys put together.
  5. I haven't researched UV lights in a long time, but there used to be a version where it was all one unit. Meaning it had a water pump attached to it, so you could just drop it into a pond and it would drive water through the UV bulb by itself. I have no idea if they still make that type though.
  6. Should be a nice experiment. I've wondered too how those type of grow lights work on aquatic plants.
  7. A thermometer might be good for the kit. Makes sure the heater is doing its job correctly. I have one in a tank I don't run a heater in too, just to sort of know what's going on in the tank.
  8. @Will Billy Woah, that's a cool looking heater. I like that type that has the controller and display outside the tank. Hope it lasts a good long time for you.
  9. Congratulations to the winners! That is awesome. Lizzie making nerm wishes come true! Lol. 😛
  10. I wish I could answer this, because I really dig these small outdoor ponds. Haven't tried one yet though. Azolla Caroliniana would be another great choice for a floating/cover plant. It is small and looks delicate, but as long as it doesn't straight freeze it will live through winter. It propogates like guppies too. I have it in my unheated aquarium and I really enjoy the look of it.
  11. I agree. Go for the 2 lots of 9 corys. Bigger schools are always cooler to look at. It's a big tank, you can figure out the bioloads later when the guppies take over.
  12. I seriously admire your patience!
  13. That is really cool! I've only recently began to appreciate the cuteness of dojo loaches.
  14. Welcome aboard! Live plants are definitely worth the struggle at the beginning. Good luck!
  15. Never kept yo-yo loaches, but I had ranchu goldfish that used to do that all the time.
  16. Welcome to the forum! I wish I was a member of a fish club, but there doesn't seem to be any around me locally. I don't think fish keeping is very popular in my area.
  17. Welcome to the forum! Some nice looking bettas.
  18. 6-8" is a nice size! Can't wait to seem him that big. He will be spectacular!!! Forgot to mention that him waking you up by pulling the heater cord is hilarious. I'm sure he'll have you trained later to feed him everytime he pulls on the cord. Lol. 😛
  19. Aquarium Co-Op doing their best to keep our fish happy and CHUNKY! Awesome. :)
  20. Still a total of 5. Hope these cuties put on some size real soon, so you can breathe easier.
  21. Glad to hear Gandr is doing well. Wow, 4 1/2 inches! I thought he looked like he had some good size to him from the pics of when you first got him. Do you happen to know how big he will get full grown?
  22. The plecos look so awesome! Welcome to the forum.
  23. Great work! Are you growing them out for fish food or are you running a brine shrimp aquarium? Either way I commend your efforts! That's some fishy love if you ask me. :)
