  1. I hear ya. I had to contact several fish stores before I was able to find one who was willing to take my juvenile dwarf platies for cash. For fish that I only had small quantities of, I ended up donating them.
  2. This is my Cryptocoryne lutea that I got from Aquarium Co-Op. The leaves look like smooth-edged, elongated ovals and remind me of a slightly bigger, faster-growing version of crypt parva. Very hardy - even when my entire collection of crypt wendtii all melted because I changed my fertilizer dosing routine, this little bugger stood by me. I currently have it in the foreground of my low tech tank, and it continues to produce new leaves for me all the time. This is what it looked like when I first bought it:
  3. Oh my goodness, you're a lifesaver! I don't like using lamps because a) I don't have a lot of counter space in my bathroom and b) I have to constantly adjust the distance the lamp since the temperature in our house changes through out the day, especially at night. I had an adjustable 50W heater but it was really tall and kept blocking the flow of the eggs at the bottom of the Ziss hatchery. I tried a preset mini 10W Aqueon heater, but the temperature is currently reading 94°F. 😮 Hopefully, this adjustable mini heater will work better!
  4. Lol, I must always catch him when the shop is open and he's busy entertaining customers.
  5. Whenever I check the live camera of our mascot Murphy, he's usually eagerly swimming around and doing his thing. This is the first time I'd ever seen him sleeping in the corner, like a loaf of bread. So cute! 🍞 P.S. If you want to see more puffer action, our latest video actually shows Cory gently holding Murphy in the tank.
  6. I haven't had much experience with clown killifish fry, but depending on how big they are, you might try Hikari First Bites, Easy Fry food, baby brine shrimp, frozen daphnia and cyclops, and the powder form of Repashy gel food.
  7. Oh haha, I probably didn't film it with the lid on at the time so that you could see the BBS better.
  8. For dry foods, my corys really liked Repashy gel food (Community Plus blend), freeze-dried tubifex worms, and Xtreme Nano pellets. I believe they also liked the Hikari Sinking Wafers. They're not really picky as long as it sinks and the other fish don't gobble up all the food first. 🙂
  9. I do put a lid on it, just so my family members won't accidentally knock it over and spill all over my fridge. 😛
  10. Currently, I like making YouTube videos, reading, watching anime, painting my nails, and hiking. In the past, I used to crochet and knit, play piano, collect stamps, draw, blog, and play video games. I mainly like learning new things and skills. I've been keeping fish for a while and now it's my job, so I guess I won't be quitting that hobby anytime soon. 😉 A baby beanie with a brain slug from Futurama that I made a long time ago
  11. Congrats on the upcoming move! I don't have any experience with exporting to the US, but maybe it would help to contact an current Thai exporter or one of the US transhippers to hear about their experiences? Here is an Aquabid listing that contains the contact info a Thai betta fish exporter, as well as a list of transhippers from all over the world. Best of luck to you! 12. @Jason Adams from Prime Time Aquatics has a great video on getting rid of existing snails in your fish tank:
  13. Lucky! I would love to keep a Schoutedeni puffer some day. 🐡 Welcome to the forum, Henry.
  14. Ooo, that's clever thinking! I usually have to unhook mine. Thanks for the tip.

    Krib fry

How adorable! I love seeing fish with parental care. Congrats on your new batch of fry. 🎉
  16. I love all your different corydoras! They're one of my favorites but I don't currently have any right now. Instead, here are a couple of my otocinclus hanging around:
  17. Wooow, I've seen that pattern on aquarium walls before, but it looks so much cooler on your pot instead!
  18. Very cool! I like how you connected the two ends. I connected my loop to the side of the tank using an airline holder suction cup, but black thread works great too.
  19. Yup! That's the exact tank size that master breeder Dean recommends for breeding angelfish.
  20. How cool! I'd never heard of this show; thanks for sharing.
  21. Yes, I normally remove my fish into a hospital tank to treat with salt so that the plants won't be harmed. Columnaris is also weak to salt, so hopefully that will help.
  22. If it's a white spot that's fuzzy, do you think it might be fungus? If so, I usually treat with either Ich-X or aquarium salt. Here's an article I wrote on fish fungus treatments: How to Cure Fungus on Aquarium Fish WWW.AQUARIUMCOOP.COM If your fish has a white- or gray-colored growth on its mouth or body, it could have a fungal infection. Fungal outbreaks are often caused by stressful or poor water conditions and can lead to secondary diseases, so it’s...
  23. Cute! I've never bred pygmy cories specifically, but I got my albino cories to breed by fattening them up with lots of Repashy gel food. Might work for them as well.
