  1. The blue lights don’t help plants but do help algae so I would just shut off the lights.
  2. If you have a male and a female 99 percent of the time they will mate. I would suggest that you purchase more corydoras as they enjoy being in schools. I hope this helps!
  3. I would try turning the light out for a few days as this can put the algae on its heels and give the algae eaters a chance to catch up. I hope this helped! Good luck!
  4. Well really you should be the one cleaning the aquarium. You shouldn’t keep fish as cleaner fish but as pets. This said, I would suggest trying a pleco, but make sure that you have a backup plan if there is any aggression. If that doesn’t work you will probably have to stick to cleaning the aquarium yourself. I hope this helped! Good luck!
  5. Sounds like an interesting problem with unclear rules and regulations! I hope you are able to figure it out and get some inverts! Good luck!
  6. I have some angels right now that had bad genetics I guess. I bought them from a fish store that had bought them from a local breeder. They are in a 110 and all of their dorsal fins are bent! Any tips for fixing this?
  7. I second Bristlenose. They should be fine with the eco complete. I hope this helps!
  8. I would suggest that you put in some crypts. They do well in low light as @Cory demonstrated by turning all the lights off on the 800 about a month ago in a video. I have some in my 55 that has a stingray on it and they thrive!
  9. I use the ones Walmart sells for my 10 gallons. They are black so they blend in with the background and they are pretty small. I have had 2 different ones for over 3 years and they work well. The only problem is that it has a pre set temperature.
  10. Super cool thread to watch! Keep up the good work with documenting everything!
  11. Nice pictures! I love seeing the birds in the snow!
  12. My female purple mosaic ribbon fin guppies are about to drop some fry! I am super exited!
  13. Those are beautiful guppies! The colors are amazing! I would love to get my hands on those if you ever decide to sell them!
  14. I love my heat gun! I use it all the time!
  15. I would go for 8-12 depending on how planted the tank is and many water changes you are willing to do.
  16. I agree with @MACIt can take a while for fish to get acclimated to its new environment. After a few more days they should start to be less skiddish.
  17. That is a great idea! I will have to try that on some of my older algae scrubbers!
