Did you check your water perimeters? you didn’t mention your ammonia level, ph nitrate, nitrite I would check these, and perform a water change if necessary I have 2 well Planted 10 gallon aquariums It is not unusual for everything to go right for a good while then without notice suddenly encounter an ammonia spike and or high nitrate. Especially if I’ve over fed due to babies in the tank and or if I’ve neglected the hob filter.

Every time I’ve had cloudy water it turned out to be a bacterial bloom. one time I used a water clarifier that cleared the water all right, but left a white heavy film all over everything! It was awful. So I don’t t use those anymore. Now that my tanks are established I don’t have that cloudy problem as much. Sometimes slight but never heavy as in the beginning. Generally I don’t use carbon in my filters but I have used it successfully in the past to help polish the water.

I’m leaning towards fish food.

I’m very excited about these beautiful guppies. They were imported through a trans shipper and all made it without a single loss. They are stunning in person. They are a very bright yellow that shimmers with various shades of yellow red and orange. Even the females are colorful. They are set up in a 20 long planted breeder with a few amano shrimp. They are already breeding in my tank and thankfully are not the strain of guppies that actively hunt their young. live tried a couple of strains of red guppies recently but had no success with keeping them alive much less breeding a colony of them. So getting this much success without any effort is amazing.

These are white clouds? Holy moly those are gorgeous fish! The long finned male is stunning. I wish you much success.

I purchased some on eBay. They are cheap and made of plastic but work perfectly. I’ve had them for a couple years now.

I was just now reading the instructions for my dechlorinator and realized it doesn’t say exactly when to add it. I guess I always inferred it meant before it goes in the tank. Very interesting.

I always add dechlorinator to the tap water before adding that water to the aquarium, following the manufacturers instructions. The measure is the lid so it is convenient. It could be beneficial to check the instructions on your product to be sure you are using it as intended.

Recently there was a couple videos posted regarding the frequency of water changes. One was by Steenfont aquatics and @Cory addressed this issue on his last video as well. Maybe these videos will give you more insight?

You didn’t specify if the white spot was swimming in the water column or mostly on the bottom near or in the substrate. I had something similar that turned out to be scuds that took up residents in the substrate. The eggs came in on a mat of dwarf hair grass and hatched in my aquarium. Scuds are amphipods that are shrimp like A good source of food for some fish.

Bent spines are an indication of inbreeding. Most breeders will cull the deformed fry so that they do not breed with healthy adults. An introduction f new gene pool will help with this problem.

You can get micro worms by mail fairly quickly, as well as instant brine shrimp in a small jar.

Ditto what Schwack said. Cpd are impossibly small especially when young. when my cpd,s came I had micro worms already on hand as well as bbs. They grew rather quickly and colored up nicely. Im not exactly fond of them right now but that is because they are tiny fish in a large aquarium that are hard to see. I,ve been thinking of moving them to a smaller aquarium where I believe I could enjoy them more. They are active little critters and are fun to watch when you can see them. Best of luck

I’m sure you know this but just in case it is important to vacuum your substrate during and after treatment of parasites to remove their eggs and any living parasites excreted from the fish. Failure to do this will result in re-infection. And it is also recommended to do a follow up treatment even if there are no visible signs of symptoms to ensure a reinffection doesn’t occur. your female guppy definitely has a secondary infection. I’m unsure how to successfully treat her.

My guppies do not jump I have many of them. They do however enjoy playing in the water flow and riding the current. Maybe that is what they are doing? If so maybe a slight adjustment will minimize this for you

Any air stone should work fine.

When performing maintenance on your aquariums it is very important NOT to clean your filter and substrate and hard scapes on the same day. By doing so you remove the important nitrifying bacteria and thus will interrupt the nitrogen cycle and crash your tank. In this situation it can stress your fish and leave them vulnerable to infections such as ich and columnaris. In a case such as this You will have to start the nitrogen cycle again. The biofilm on all the decorations and plants and substrate are essential in your tank to break down ammonia and nitrates. Its ok to clean your filter one day and say your substrate and plants a few days later after your filter is re-seeded with the essential bacteria’s. This is a lesson I learned the hard way. I wanted so much to keep my aquarium crystal clean that I killed my fish with kindness while doing so.

It’s a bacterial bloom. It usually goes away on its own after a couple days. If not I have found that an small addition of nitrifying bacteria helps to clear things up.

I have three favorites one is the solid color tail Blue Dragon The next I couldn’t get a picture of but is the Musseau Line of Amaerican purple gupppies. This strain takes a while to fully reach their beautiful colors but their extra large size and gorgeous purple to lavender extra large tails are worth the wait. They are hardy and breed true putting off different shades of blue purples . Lastly I recently received the red cobra snake skin guppy pair. Even the female has red fins. The male is stunning. I tried so hard to get a good pic but they all turn out blurry. Too bad you cannot see his body markings in this pic. It really is special
