  1. I would get more live plants especially floating plants. Here is a link to a list of aquarium plants that aquarium co-op recceomends for beginners: https://www.aquariumcoop.com/blogs/aquarium/easy-aquarium-plants
  2. I am glad to see everything is doing well for your tank. When a corycat is resting on the bottom, don't worry they are bottom dwellers and are actually noctournal so they are usaully up most at night.
  3. Welcome to the forum!! Another Betta in that tank would be cool. Some other fish could be: -Cardinal Tetra -Neon Tetra -Rummynose Tetra -Amano Shrimp -harlequin rasbora -Danios -Celestrial Pearl Danios -Hatchetfish (make sure you have a tight lid with no holes, these guys are jumpers) -Dwarf Pencilfish -Mollies -Guppies -Shrimp
  4. No I live in canada so I couldn't get from them, I just got it from my LFS.
  5. When I got my anubius I put in the sand not knowing it could go on hard scape and such. It worked fine for me until my Angels decided they didn't want it anymore and they dug it up. Its in my betta tank now and doing well and is in the substrate.
  6. what size is the tank, a 5 gallon or a 29 gallon? Whats the stocking like? What are your water parameters? Could you send pictures? I have a feeling there is still some green water from your algae bloom, green water is especially hard to get out with waterchanges. I would suggest to do ONE of the following: -Turn off all lights in the aquarium, wrap a towel around the tank so no lighting can get in, make sure there are still some holes visible as we don't wanna suffacate the fish -Get floating plants, they will pull out the nutrients that the algae in the water is feeding off of.

    Need help!

I would use one or both of the following meds: -Aquarium Salt - fritz mardel maracyn I have no idea what it could be, could you send pictures? Have they been eating?
  8. I had anubius nana petite, and I'm pretty sure it was the only plant in that tank that didn't die, lol. I would recceomnd that, you don't even need to plant it, you can tie it on a peice of wood or something like that 🙂
  9. I would get 6-8 angels and you should at least get a pair.
  10. aww cute betta😍. Aquarium Co-op has a map for all local clubs: https://www.aquariumcoop.com/apps/store-locator Just take note that your local club is probably closed due to covid as many are closed. Best of luck!
  11. I would do angels, but thats only because I like them more.
  12. could be a tumor, if so its not contaigous. All though treatment is really hard and the only known treatment is surgery.
  13. Question for you all: Have you tried the Seachem Flourish Root Tabs? I am thinking of getting some because I live in Canada so I can't get the co-op root tabs. I know their fertilizer isn't the best.
  14. the picture is not showing up, can you send it again?
  15. didn't know you could see moderation actions. Do agree though the mods are truly amazing.
  16. yes @lefty o said a planted tank is a tank with plants in it. I consider planted tanks to have the centerpeice aquascape be a plant. All though you could have one Amazon Sword and it still be a planted tank
  17. I wouldn't put angelfish and discus together, heres why: Discus are slower eaters and angelfish are pigs meaning that I would be afraid that the angelfish would eat all the food before the discus. Of course if you make sure the discus get food it would be okay, but that could be challenging. I know @Daniel keeps both angelfish and discus (not in the same tank though) I have not kept discus. But hopefully he can offer more advice on this, or another forum member.
  18. love the silvertips too. Congo Tetras, Danios, Hatchetfish Are all great fish for the top of the tank Neon Tetras, Cardinal Tetras, Rummynose Tetras, Serpae Tetra, Black Skirt Tetra are all great mid level fish I don't beleive corycats are shrimp safe, so it would have to be one or the other (Unless were talking amano shrimp)
  19. Knowing that breeding fish won't create a profit, I wanna create a breeding to make money tank. Here is what I'm thinking, let me know what you guys think: 10 Gallon heavily planted with floating plants, guppy grass, moss Cherry Shrimp Fancy Guppies Will the guppies eat the baby shrimp even with the heavily planted setup?
  20. Question for you all: Are you considerd a lurker in the live streams where you don't participate in the Live Chat Or do you participate in the Live chat? For me its a bit of both, sometimes I'll lurk where as other times I participate in the chat.
  21. Who is chasing the silvertips? The best way to stop aggression is to get more fish, how awesome is that! I would suggest to get some more skirt tetras along with corydoras (make sure you get the same breed of corydora) as they like to have their friends. Heres what I would do: Get 4 more skirt tetras to make your total of 5 Skirt Tetras Get 3 more Corydoras to make your total 4 Corydoras
  22. could this be a spray that kills 99.9% of all amonia and nitries
