  1. Watching fry and Watching the kuhli loaches swim in circles along the same glass panel.
  2. Nice. Keep us posted!
  3. I bought the 29 gallon and spent 29 on the tank, $70 on substrate, $150 on a light, $50 on plants and a easy planter. Those dollar per gallon sales get expensive 😩
  4. I have 4 nerites and 2 of them have the same thing. They have been like this for over a year so I'm assuming it is normal. If not, I'm looking forward to others input.
  5. My new setup is a plant only tank with a Amazon sword, octopus plant, water sprite and crypt wendtii. It is unheated and is running at 69 degrees. Would i get more growth if the tank was heated to at least 75°?
  6. I think the val would be fine. As a matter of fact, it may be one of the better plants to keep with goldfish. If the goldfish does go after it, it sounds like you have a lifetime supply in your 75 gallon. 🙂
  7. What kind of Gourami goes best in a community tank? My tank is mostly neon tetras, black neon, guppies and platty's. Some Cory's at the bottom.
  8. Received the plants today. The co-op packaging is 1st class. I'm leaving the in the pots for a few days.
  9. I have too many active fish to count. I count species. I know i started with 20 neon tetras and I count them about once a week. Sometimes 1 or 2 come up missing...I think I'm still at 19.
  10. I am filling my 29 gallon with plants from the coop. My 1st order is: Amazon sword Water sprite Crypt wendtii Octopus plant Easy planter Hopefully it will be a jungle in a few months. I will post a starting point and follow-up photos in few months.
  11. I have read of many people using black diamond sandblasting sand. Just rinse really well.
  12. I was afraid that 2" might allow for more channeling. It might be overkill. Thanks for the info.
  13. I used gravel from a gravel yard. I boiled it just to be safe.
  14. I always wondered if running a light at 100% for 4 hours is the same as running a light at 50% for 8 hours. I would like to know if there is a difference in plant and algae growth.
  15. Fish have always intrigued me and I also love watching plants grow. I always keep at least one fast growing stem plant for quicker gratification. Plus, the hobby is challenging, like fighting algae in the planted tank...
