UPS = Uninterruptible Power Supply I have used APC and CyberPower. Here are a couple of examples at the 1500VA/900-1000W level: https://www.amazon.com/APC-Protector-BR1500MS2-Back-UPS-Uninterruptible-dp-B08GRY1W93/dp/B08GRY1W93/ref=dp_ob_title_ce https://www.amazon.com/CyberPower-CP1500PFCLCD-Sinewave-Outlets-Mini-Tower/dp/B00429N19W/ref=sr_1_3?crid=2EBVLVSL0UCMH&dchild=1&keywords=cyberpower+1500&qid=1635188507&sprefix=cyberpower+1500%2Caps%2C75&sr=8-3 You may not need the sine wave feature that those offer, but it can be nice for more sensitive electronics. You can obviously go bigger or smaller. There are sizing guides so you can estimate the power and time needs for your particular electronics. This is what I have in every network closet and server room at my schools: https://www.amazon.com/APC-Smart-UPS-SmartConnect-Uninterruptible-SMT3000RM2UC/dp/B0785NCFMY?ref_=ast_sto_dp&th=1&psc=1

He described the RS Aero and Viper 640 as shred sleds, which I love! Here are some photos from the end of the season:

Don’t forget a check valve for each, and some Aquarium Co-Op Black Airline Tubing.
-
I like not having to monitor a valve setup for multiple tanks. Several of my tanks have more than one sponge filter, so if one pump fails, the other filter is unaffected.

@Torrey, @Jawjagrrl, after I was born, my parents would put me down below on their Tanzer 22, between a pair of blankets, and I would roll-tack and roll-gybe! We have a sailing thread: Come join us!

I found an awesome sailing selfie showing a single-handed RS Aero like mine: I wish I could pull off a sailing mullet!

Is this a good Fluval 3.0 pro setting?
Streetwise replied to lmhicks101's topic in Plants, Algae, and Fertilizers
That looks like one of the programs from @Bentley Pascoe. I believe his baseline tank size is 40 gallons, so depending on the height of the light, and CO2 or not, you might need to scale it down. I will generally run for 2-4 weeks, with no other tank changes, before my next lighting adjustment. There may be scaled-down versions of this program in our community thread: -
That is the exact model that I use. It is minimal, quiet, and fits common foam. You could go taller with media than I did. It will restart after a power outage. The other topic was dream, not best, or perfect! You may need something with more volume.

I have about 16 Nano Air Pumps, and they have performed as advertised. I had one fail from a splashy filter setup on a 2.5 gallon, where the pump was very close to the water.

What's your dream aquarium product that doesn’t exist?
Streetwise replied to pedrofisk's topic in General Discussion
The 500 is the largest model, and the only symmetrical one, which is a personal aesthetic requirement. You could run more than one. Let’s continue this in the other thread.- 729 replies

Fluval Plant 3.0 Scheduling and Programming
Streetwise replied to Streetwise's topic in Community Resources
Thank you @fisherman! I thought it would be an important FAQ topic when the forum started. @HotTunaCartel, I think I mentioned the power reset results in the first post, but I also explained it a few posts up. Power-on assumes midnight as current time, and continues the schedule until you touch the light in the app, which syncs the time. If anyone thinks anything is missing in the first post, let me know, and I will edit!- 371 replies

I actually pulled what I thought was one snail off the glass so I could ask about pond v bladder snails. Little did I know I would witness ‘the snail with two shells’! There were some other creatures that showed up in the video too.

Thread-bound Anubias, what now?
Streetwise replied to Chad's topic in Plants, Algae, and Fertilizers
@Chad, I would consider Java Fern to be light-shy. Consider shading it with hardscape, floating plants, or sun-thirsty plants. -
@lmhicks101, this should provide some interesting reading:

I like jamming epiphytes into the nooks and crannies of wood! I love Anubias.
