  1. @Torrey, I am always happy to learn the details in our hobby. I would to love to hear more: I think many members enjoy the science class aspect of the forum.
  2. I don’t always bother with this, but if you have a light with both Pro and Manual settings, you can run Pro for your schedule, and Manual for your photos. I also recommend enabling the grid of thirds view for your phone camera, to help you square-up your shots.
  3. Nice. I also like the little peak variations of the light levels so that the light is always changing.
  4. The Fluval 3.0 thread is over a year old, and you can see the interface changes with the screenshots. I think that Fluval contracts out the app development to their hardware suppliers.
  5. That looks nice! I am getting serious memories seeing those bubble walls. As a young person, I had under-gravel filters that used horizontal filters and air stones instead of uplift tubes.
  6. Freshman year is strange. Just be yourself, and be open to how others are similar or different. Don't worry about lifelong friendships. Just find some friends that you can trust, and a network of other acquaintances.
  7. If you have an app connection, your network connection may be solid, and you can focus on the programming advice from @ARMYVET.
  8. @Sandra the fish rookie, let me know about connecting to that AT&T portal in case we need to change settings.
  9. Is there any chance that you have changed your Wi-Fi password since you got that AT&T router? Can you try the page 10 instructions? I still need to know if you can get into your AT&T Wi-Fi settings. I found a video:
  10. I am looking at pages 7-9. Please let us know how many steps you have completed.
  11. We might have to tweak the network settings, but let’s try to connect with via the app first. https://drive.google.com/file/d/12OOKO5pMWrVA1arIfFgPf_3peHWXHjeH/view?usp=sharing
  12. Are you currently able to program the Inkbird from the phone?
  13. @Sandra the fish rookie, were you able to connect the app to the controller? That should have been my first question. If not, did the app provide an error message? Also, can you you get to your network settings via that https://att.com/SmartHomeManager link?
  14. Do you just have the network hardware from your ISP? If so, who is your internet service provider? Maybe take a picture of the gear. It might also have print on it which identifies it.
  15. What is the exact model Inbird, and what is your wireless router/AP?
  16. Please keep going here! This could be useful for others. I am also a professional in IT and networking, and might be able to assist.
  17. Immersed v emersed would refer to the sections of plants below or above the water, or growth that occurred in each condition.
  18. “When aquatic plants break the water surface, they not only obtain more CO2, but they appear to be released from their own internal handicaps. Figure IX-1 compares the photosynthetic response of aerial leaves and submerged leaves of Pomamogeton amplifolius to increased CO2 fertilization. The floating leaves responded much better to increased CO2 than the submerged.” Excerpt From Ecology of the Planted Aquarium Diana Louise Walstad https://books.apple.com/us/book/ecology-of-the-planted-aquarium/id661029773 This material may be protected by copyright.
  19. Light and color are very interesting topics. The way we create color is linked to the way we perceive color. I would recommend looking into the topics of color model, additive color, subtractive color, RGB color model, RYB color model, and CMYK color model. LED color creation is more complicated than you might think. The color white from LEDs is especially interesting.
