    I have trained one of our maintenance staff to take care of MF10 units. I’m tempted to add back my Eheim canister with an in-line water-change pump to prime it. I need to test first.

    I came home today and saw a piece of an outdoor plant, which only means one thing. This chipmunk was not so lucky. I wonder if it was the same chipmunk each time. My cat was a stray that I adopted as winter was approaching several years ago. I fed him and let him in and out of my window. I tried making him indoor-only, but he would protest pee if kept indoors too long. When the weather is nice, I leave the window open. He is friends with everyone in the neighborhood, and greets visitors to the businesses in my building. I love you, Valcour! Meow buddy.

    @Guppysnail, I’m not sure what treatments would work, but it is an interesting question. The plants I collected turned out to already be in the hobby.

    @Tihshho, while they might be crunchy snacks, the risk is too great. Even though I saw no zebra mussels in my collected plants, I never moved them into my tanks.

    My last post was meant to be funny, but are you sure that you even need to clean that sponge? I have had to squeeze sponges in HoBs, but none of my Co-Op sponge filters have reduced flow since I added them. Shrimp, snails, Otocinclus, and others graze and keep them going.
