To my untrained eye it looks like it will need bracing.

I fused two ends of airline tubing together with a hair dryer. A heat gun is easier but I don’t have one 😣 No pictures to show but I got the idea from Foo the Flowerhorn on youtube.

unconventional planted goldfish community tank
Alexa replied to yannachka's topic in Photos, Videos & Journals
I LOVE your tank and I can’t decide which part is my favorite - the planter, the goldfish, or the “unconventional” species. You take great pictures, too. Not to mention, a large planted goldfish community tank is my dream! This is providing lots of inspiration. 🙂 -
I love duckweed but only because my goldfish will eat the excess. It grows very quickly and once you have it, it’s hard for some people to get rid of.

That’s the home of the WOW pandas, right? (Lol haven’t played in over ten years.) I think the panda themed stock would be awesome with that scape 😎- 45 replies

Bummed out about a die off, how to you get motivated again?
Alexa replied to Tedrock's topic in General Discussion
After my last colony crash, I started working on a separate tank that would have shrimp “eventually.” This way I had fun planning a better setup without any stress.- 5 replies

Crinum dies back hardcore, but they will adjust and thrive. They grow slow but it’s worth the wait. 🙂

Jill, your fish are beautiful. Welcome! 🙂

Hello! I lived in the finger lakes area for a bit and I wish I was a fish keeper back then - the well water would have been perfect for what I keep now! I’m excited to see your setups 🙂 Welcome to the forum!

I love your videos. Your tanks are so inspiring 🙂

It is not weird to ask for constructive feedback! It may inspire you to let your tanks grow in, or it may help you pinpoint what exactly makes you dissatisfied with your tanks. 🙂

It seems like you’re doing the right things to prevent infection. Maybe make sure you have some salt on hand just in case? Gotta love those pirate fish~ 🏴☠️

Just throwing another idea out there; black water tank with a betta? That way you can satisfy the biotope craving, have a centerpiece that would pop against the tanins, and you get to be creative with botanicals.
-
I have the same method because if I have an empty cycled tank, I stock it, and it’s not a quarantine tank anymore. 😛

Hi Mike, I love your guppies! My favorite guppies are any that are pink! There are not nearly enough available. Thank you for breeding pink flamingos~ 🦩

Java fern would look really great on the bridge too. 🙂 Do you use any type of fertilizer?

Wow. I’m jealous of your antique aquarium and that magazine cover is gorgeous... I might have to find my own copy! This concept is so interesting. Can’t wait to see what happens!- 294 replies

Rescaped the 6 gallon in my kitchen! Maybe it will look good with orange neo shrimp... I’ll let the plants grow in while I think about it 🙂

This is so much easier than aiming the flow into a colander, which is what I was doing. Thanks for the tip!

Thank you so much! I like pest snails, but these specifically I love for their speckled bodies and the triangle tentacles. Thanks again!

These guys showed up in one of my tanks one day, likely hitch hikers from new plants... They’re so cute and I want to know what species they are! 🧐

I had an issue with them in my shrimp tanks. Lucky for me, spixis aren’t illegal in my state, so I added one to each tank and the hydra were all gone eventually. It was an expensive solution but I got cool snails out of the deal. That being said, I’m on the “no big deal” train unless they actually start hurting your livestock.
