  1. Criunum calamastratum and bolbitus are pretty tough plants. So is java fern
  2. The shallow ones no. But i have used the flower pots for crypts and all sorts of plants.

  4. Hikari are much better. Honestly i just buy what aquarium coop website has.
  5. Been wanting to breed ADF for a while now but not sure where to start. Any help would be appreciated.
  6. Plenty of root tabs and water cloumn ferts along with good lighting to achive a good carpet. Dont use and liquid carbon products at all. They melt the vals horribly.
  7. They shed alot when they get moved. Kind of like crypt melt. Best way to counter this is to get the tank parameters as close together as possible. Ph Gh Kh and temp are the most important ones. The more nutrients they have in the water the less they seem to shed.
  8. Looks to be not getting enough light. What kind of light do uou use in and what tank size?
  9. My crypt is using alot of root tabs. Anyone know of easy ways to use prolong the tabs? BTW i use easy root tabs because ive done side by side test of easy root tabs and seachem and the easy ones work best for crypts from my experience.
  10. Are daisy ricefish as easy to breed as all the others?
  11. I belive thats a peace lily. Gravel would be best.
  12. Is hydrogen peroxide effective at killing staghorn if i pull out my anubias and spray it on and let it soak?
  13. I have a mossball with some staghorn algae on it and im not sure if i should quarantine it and put in a dark space for a while to kill the algae or to if i can use easy carbon on the mossball. Not sure if that would hurt the mossball or not. Any help would be appreciated.
  14. My tabk has had an off and on battle with staghorn algae for a while now. Im almost ready to give up. I trimmed off almost everything in the tank that has stag on it. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
  15. Staghorn or blackbeard algae. Eash carbon works best.
  16. That is known as a spike. After awhile the spike will srout baby plants. Then you can pull the off gently and plant them and start all over again with the others
  17. Take out the java fern and spray it with some hydrogen peroxide. Then gently brush or wipe off the algae and put it back in your tank. Goodluck
