    Welcome! 🙂 Glad you have hardwood and not carpet! Every time I think I want to go back to carpet SOMETHING happens, whether its my aging dog having accidents, spilling water everywhere when doing aquarium work or the thought of having to break out the vacuum every other day(It's VERY dusty where I live).

    Thank you! I tested again this morning and its the same, I added the second dose of stability. 🙂 I do have a couple of questions... 1) How do you do other forms of filter media? Do you just add them in to the HOB? Take out the regular carbon filter? 2) When I add the group to my new tank how do I acclimate them? Should I set up a drip system? if so... how much water do I use of the old tank and how long should the new tank drip into it? I don't want to mess this part up... I lost two tetras in the quarantine process but I think everyone else is healthy and doing great so far.

    I have two large in my parents 55 gallon tank. Works well imo. Patrick (mobile won't let me tag) told me that you're filtering for the amount of fish you have. So depending on the bio load it would depend on whether or not you need one or two, I think?? (Please let me know if I am off base.)

    Makes me feel better. I currently have 3 in a tank I am cycling and I only ever see 2. I caught one the other night after the lights went out and I put in some algae wafers. Its always fun to see them when they come out of hiding, and it gives me a chance to do a belly check.

    My husband isn't down either. He enjoys them, but doesn't want to be involved. He manages the rescue turtle pond, though. Now it's my job to scape it.

    50% water change. Added prime + stability. Looks like we're back on track. I'll probably test again tonight to make sure the water has had enough time to cycle through my HOB filter and my sponge.

    I have Stability on the way. It'll be here later today. Unless otherwise advised I will do another 40% water change. My gourami's and tetras are here... They're currently in their quarantine tank. I love them.

    I did a 50% water change yesterday. Tested this morning and my levels are still crazy high. Should I do another water change?
