  1. You’re flying through this build! Sounds like you’ll have no worries with this rack. It’s really well built and has a lot of thought put into it.
  2. That’s an awesome looking shrimp! Wish I could take a picture half as well as that. I need to practice more.
  3. I think it’s called green spot algae. My slow growers get that as well.
  4. Just some Amano and Ghost shrimp. Maybe, I’ll get something more colorful once I get this reset.
  5. Let me first say that I don’t have a talent for aesthetics when it comes to aquascaping, but I want to improve hopefully. Ever want to just blow up one of your setups? This indoor pond/tub has been running for a little over 2 years. It has had a lot of up’s, but lately it’s been on a steady spiral downward; plants dying off, out of control algae, borrowing plants for other projects, etc. I am determined to get it back on track and change things up drastically. Watch me triumph or fail miserably. I’ve ordered some substrate. While I wait for the shipment, I will be taking down some other nano projects I had going. I really want to focus on making this something I really enjoy watching again.
  6. That looks like a nice big tank. Fry production will definitely get going even before you get some live plants. Even just the hardscape will help them survive.
  7. I’m not familiar with these stands, but if there is at least one joist underneath, I personally wouldn’t hesitate putting a 10 gallon tank on it.
  8. I’ve never found a bloodworm in my plants, but I would always welcome free food for my fish. Heck, I’d accept free food for me. Why do I never find a fresh off the grill hamburger around me? 😕
  9. Wow, that’s beautiful! I haven’t had a lot of plants that have flowered for me so seeing something like this always blows my mind.
  10. Very cute! Looks kind of like a mini puffer in the picture.
  11. I noticed a stink bug had sunk to the bottom of my indoor “pond” yesterday, I believe it was. Today, I saw a few malaysian trumpet and bladder snails all over it. I’m hoping they consume it all in a couple days. I was going to take it out at first, but I figured something would have to eat it. The male guppies were useless. They usually are when it comes to feeding. I’m sure if I had my females in there, they would have torn it apart. I always heard ghost shrimp were carnivorous, but they weren’t interested either. Thank gosh for my snail army.
  12. Good luck with the fry raising. These copper aliens are something special. I think I like these color variants the best out of the aliens.
  13. I’m definitely on the side of you have to do things the way that suits you and there is no absolute one way to do things successfully. I think your whole set up is very clever starting from the racks and so forth. Is the artificial grass very soft? Does that even matter in your opinion?
  14. Sorry to hear about the rubberlip pleco loss. That really sucks.
  15. I’ve never seen a setup like that before. Brilliant! You have a really unique way of doing things.
  16. @gogomarigo Those are really pretty fish! Sparkling gourami? I didn’t realize that blue sheen was so pronounced on them.
  17. Choosing just ONE is so hard! I’m going to go with the all encompassing Bucephalandra, since I can’t choose a specific type. There hasn’t been one I’ve seen that I haven’t wanted. They are low light loving, low maintenance, and look unique and beautiful. I can’t ask for much more. If you ask again next week, you might get a different answer though. Lol.
  18. You should definitely be proud, looks great!
  19. Welcome back to the hobby! A 14.5 gallon cube tank sounds pretty sweet.
