Good morning Brian! Do I see baby angelfish behind that coffee mug?
-
'maybe I used too many monkeys? Isn't it enough to know I ruined a pony? I think I have go get a towel to clean to coffee off my computer monitor now...
-
I have a lot of voices in my head. The loudest one says Co Op. But there is a fainter one that whispers 'the coop'.
-
Maybe a former shrimp?
-
@Brian Scott notes in this post that more room you give your angelfish to spawn, the less likely they are to eat the fry. Not saying it has to be this big, only that more is better.

Do nano pond fish like deep water or shallow water?
Daniel replied to Yanni's topic in General Discussion
I got them on Aquabid, here is the auction listing: https://www.aquabid.com/cgi-bin/auction/closed.cgi?view_closed_item&fw1596729002 The seller called them Orange Medaka Ricefish. There are white and bluish ones also, so it turned out it wasn't just orange. -
Definitely rice fish, I had not kept them before this year and they turned out to be both pretty and prolific!

Most apistos like to dig a little but they do fine for me even in bare bottomed tanks. They also like to have some sort cave like area for breeding. And you nailed it on the super red, that just means 'some extra red' It's been 15 years since I kept cacatuoides but I remember thinking 'these are not picky apistos'. It would be a good one to start with to begin breeding apistos.

That's got to be it. I know the blackworms are grown in outdoor ponds.

coconut caves for breeding apistogramma macmasteri
Daniel replied to Lemon's topic in General Discussion
I gave mine the choice of caves or coconuts, not sure about their reasoning, but the fish picked the coconuts.- 6 replies

Our resident schooling expert is @Bill Smith, I believe he recently had issues involving scores of fish all of the same species.

What are your water parameters? Your shrimp look great! -
Here is a 20" Finnex Stingray on a 10 gallon aquarium. I think sits proud of the rim by not quite 1 inch. That might just fit in a tight space.

Does your Otto seem to be in any distress?

@JessTheMess92, Wow! I have been so clueless. I posted above that my freshwater clams had starved to death. I went over to my tank and took a photo to prove it. It was easy to find an empty clam shell. Wait a minute! The last of those clams in that tank died at least 6 years ago. How come there a so many clam shells scattered around the substrate...no, it couldn't be, could it? It just goes to show that you can only see what you believe is there. The freshwater clams are clearly not as 'starved to death' as I had previously assumed. I guess my tank is dirtier richer in microflora and fauna than I realized. I am stunned.
