  1. Meme Monday Morning everyone! Rev your meme engines...
  2. I have observed the same thing with my trimmings. Doesn't seem to harm the plant and it stops as the leaf heals over but I would also like to hear an explination as to why this happens.
  3. Thanks! I'm very fond of that filament just for that reason. It's a "speciality" filament where the color is from approximately 5% of bronze metal powder mixed in. 😊
  4. Love the attitude. I hope you become the best, like no one ever was!
  5. If I could give that more than one heart I would lol.
  6. @ Mudkicker Fishkeeping ethics will rest on what your worldview is, whether there exists objective moral truths, whether there exists objective purpose, meaning, and value in the universe. I think at rock bottom this is ultimately a religious question which I beileve we are supposed to stray away from that topic in this forum. All I will say is it is of great value to know what you believe and why you believe it, and greatly important to live coherently and consistently with your beliefs.
  7. I agree. I disagree with all of this. IMO its a big jump to say this is probably a swim bladder issue, we should know water parameters, diet, tank conditions before making a judgment like that. Aeration would definitely help, they also have gills and if it's on the bottom that's the only way it is getting oxygen..
  8. Yup that's definitely wood... If you want to be super safe you can boil it for a 10 or so minutes and/or soak it for a few days/weeks or so until it doesn't leech any more tannins (brown stuff) into the water. Where did you find it? That may help you determine what tree it came from and what kind of wood it is.
  9. lol, reminds me of this quote @Streetwise “Engineering is the art of modelling materials we do not wholly understand, into shapes we cannot precisely analyse so as to withstand forces we cannot properly assess, in such a way that the public has no reason to suspect the extent of our ignorance.”
  10. Lol, we just need to restore the habitat where young Deans can thrive.
  11. Meme challenge: Team Co-op Species Profiles
  12. Keep, sell, cull, or let nature take its course in the tank which is like passive culling. IMO ideally sell them or give them to someone with a predatory fish.
  13. No, you can have great success and fun without all the gadgets. The gadgets don't necessarily make like easier either.
  14. Co-op online store has a good response to this. So about 1 liter of air per minute per sponge filter.
  15. Happy Meme Monday Evening. We can only hope...
  16. https://www.apc.com/shop/us/en/products/APC-Smart-UPS-2200VA-LCD-120V/P-SMT2200 They have a neat runtime calculator in the key features tab.
  17. Love this tank. Please please post pics of the SRBD when they go full color. They are in my top few favorite natives.
  18. Strips lights could be an easy solution here. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Commercial-Electric-12-in-30-cm-Linkable-Single-Color-Indoor-LED-Flexible-Tape-Light-Kit-4-Strip-Pack-17066/207018583
  19. Welcome back to the hobby again... again... lol. Nice tanks btw.
  20. Give your kids the gift of Murphy cookies, indoctrinating them in the Co-op ways and ensuring a bright a successful future :) Not spectacular results but not terrible, the wife and I are not cookie experts at all, although she is very good at most other forms of cooking/baking. Perhaps a shortbread dough would have had better results. This was just for funsies anyways. 3D printed cutter and stamp we tried.
