  1. Can you believe how many babies you have now? And all you did was add sand. @TeeJay are you paying attention? Take notes @TeeJay
  2. More microfauna footage, plus shrimps doing shrimp stuff. @Guppysnail what is the creature at the beginning above the limpet? Moves differently than an ostracod, no?
  3. 6 days later. I have another one on the other side, not as cool as this one though. Top right is one of the punctures also. Fun! 🤣
  4. Maybe you can use the siphon w/out the rigid part. That's how I clean Geppetto's 5.5gal. Are the shrimps liking their dragonstone apartment complex? ORD!!
  5. @Guppysnail Wow, that shrimp though!!! Snowball shrimp? Sooo cool! @nabokovfan87 L👀K! This one's hiding spot - ORD So @Guppysnail, I kinda expected the white wizard babies to be, ya know, white? Did they get confused? P.S. I just noticed in this pic above there is a shrimp that perfectly blends in.
  6. Some more of the things sprouted. Super happy that the chili peppers are coming up. First, they are colorful and they grow upside down like spikes. But also I like to make my own hot sauce. Definitely will need to pot up the herbs from the little house pot once they get decent roots. Here is a chili plant I grew in 2016. Not sure if I mentioned it in the rooster attack post or not, but my friend gave me a shiitake mushroom log. She planted mushroom spawn in it (drilled holes, planted spawn, then sealed with beeswax). She gave me some extra spawn and wax, I just need to find some logs that don’t have lichen or mold/fungus (lichen competes with the mushrooms). It will end up looking like this. Can last a good 4+ years continually making mushrooms. I believe after each harvest the log must be submerged in water for a bit to get it going again(?) Idk- still learning..
  7. This is the kit I have. Planting small stems is a 2 hand job: a tweezer for each hand. The first plants in and the second pins down the area while the first tweezer is removed from the substrate. Otherwise the plant floats up and out of the medium.
  8. One of my LFS I do not trust. Their fish look ill. I only buy supplies or nerites there. When I raised mystery snails I adopted them out to hobbyists in my neighborhood by using the Nextdoor App.
