KaitieG
This didn't all happen today, but the past 3 have been busy! -My husband spent most of Saturday plumbing in his plan for our new 95 gallon tank, and other than the fact that the cpvc valves we bought are poorly made and drip when they're open (working on a replacement plan) it's AWESOME! He only gets 1 weekend off a month, so it was a pretty big deal for it to get spent on MY project, too! There's hot water, cold water, a connecting hose so they can be mixed, and a drain pipe all hooked up and functioning! (pic 1) -Since he got water plumbed, we filled up the tank! It's now in the murky bacteria bloom stage (yuck) but is already clearing a bit. Dosed with Fritzime 7, added an established sponge filter, and have a 2nd sponge seeding to add later this week. Couldn't resist sticking in a few guppies after a couple days of letting it sit and feeding it with fish food. I'll keep watching ammonia and nitrite as it establishes and dose with prime or move everyone back into the old tank if I need to. (pic 2) -I also went and picked up fish and plants from the very first fish club auction I've ever participated in. 5 green cory cats, a trio of purple dragon guppies (though they're more pink, which is fine b/c they're just going to mix in with my yellow and blue ones after they finish quarantine), italian and jungle val, crypts, a small stem of pogostemon stellatus octopus, lots of dwarf sag, and java moss. Will add more crypts and anubias that I've ordered...just waiting. -The night before I picked up the fish I set up a QT tank for the very first time. It's in a plastic tub with a broken edge with a seeded sponge filter, fritzime 7 dose, and fake plants. It's cloudy looking, but everyone seems to be doing well so far. One cory went and got himself wedged into a fake plant, but I freed him this morning with no apparent ill effects. Treating with the QT trio and then will do a 2nd dose of Paracleanse before they become the next addition to the big tank in a few weeks. (pic 3) Sorry for the poor quality photos. Tedrock
Sold 80 fancy guppies to my local fish store. Tiger Mosaic Half-moon and Blue Finned Albinos. I am selling fish every two weeks now.

Tedrock
Big job for my little fishroom. Took down the 40 gallon and moved it to the stand. In its place I built a rack for 20 longs. It was a leap of faith on my part. In my own ability. What a mess I still have to clean up.
Brandy
Planted my new ACO plants, and laid on the floor watching my guppies and acaras until the light timer went off. Biggest aquarium regret: my lights are too strong to be on the whole time I'm awake.
Maggie
I was wondering where my yellow shrimp went, and found them in the danios' treasured hide-out/pass-through wood area. Someone's not happy about the intruders! 😀
ChefConfit
Yesterday I did a 50% water change on my 29hex adjusted my lighting schedule and am doing a new fert regimen to try and combat BBA and get better plant growth. I haven't had good growth since I rescaped 2 months ago and my corys stopped spawning around the same time. I'm thinking about getting a co2 setup for the tank as well. Today I sold my last 10 juvenile corys from my most recent spawn to my LFS then impulse bought this guy. He's in quarantine with meds for a week then will go in the hex. My shrimp I got last week are also doing well. No deaths and everyone seems to be active.
ADMWNDSR83
Cried a little when I saw that my TWO packages from ACO were delayed, and were not coming in today's mail. Stoopid USPS!
Gestaltgal
Finally got a suitable tank stand painted, wrapped in vinyl, and as an extra precaution, bracketed to the wall. Next, rock hunting to add some hardscape with the substrate!
wendypizza
It's a little thing, but I finally confirmed what I knew: my 'juvie' goldfish are breeding adults 😔 The lionchu has breeding stars, which means the oranda is the female. The one eyed oranda I impulse purchased at a LFS also has breeding stars, but he gives me old man vibes and doesn't try to chase the female oranda (which the lionchu does often). Obviously since I gave one of their babies away two weeks ago I knew they were breeding, but it's nice to confirm, I guess. I'm not enjoying being sick but it's given me lots of time to observe my fish 🙂

Hobbit
Dropped off a second batch of honeys to the LFS and got some GREAT plants in trade! Yeah I didn’t have any hornwort yet, so I’m excited. But the other two are soooo interesting! A true fern and a giant pale anubias (I think) with some awesome algae accents. The owner wasn’t in and I wonder if the employee gave me a super good deal on the anubias without knowing it. He said they’d just come in so I think he was guessing on price. And this tiny crypt or sword came stuck to the anubias as a bonus! 😊

Hobbit
@mouseturd13 Thanks! I *think* it’s an anubias. The dark stripes and edges of the leaves are some type of algae that has excellent artistic placement instincts. I’m really hoping it stays a pale green because it’s so pretty!
Pleasantly Planted Waters
I found myself repeatedly stopping by this tank to watch this guppy. I'm really into his colors.
gogomarigo
Lighting in my room is weird but this is a top view of my tank. This type of salvinia has larger leaves that the kinds I originally had. I love how they fill out the tank. When they’re less crowded, they have long stems of leaves that create almost a lace-like pattern.⠀ ⠀ The floating rings are made out of airline tubing. Pygmy Corys and Sparkling Gouramis need to get to the surface for occasional air so this saves some space for them. When the salvinia gets too crowded, they can’t make it past their roots and leaves. Both species appreciate the shade the salvinia provides though. The shrimp love grazing on algae and biofilm that grow on the floating rings.⠀ ⠀ The dark spot in the lower right corner is actually my Java moss + Japanese Dwarf Pennywort cholla wood.⠀ ⠀ I love all of the different textures and layers from this top view!
Machete
Went to Aquarium Coop to get some shrimp and goodies. I got the artemia blender and I'm super eager to try it out; I've never hatched artemia before, so I'm pretty excited!

Are you using just the bricks under it or a board too? You just gave me an idea! 😄
Pleasantly Planted Waters
Did some maintenance, and hung out with this young Laser who started chasing all the girls around. Funny enough this little yellow guppy male, was chasing all the guppy girls with him. They were almost always side by side. Always funny to watch fish doin funny things. Happy Fish Co-Habitation everyone!
Garren
Drained down my 10gal tank and scaped. It was a bare bottom now it is a dirted bottom with a cap. Cloudness starting to settle down. Edited January 30, 2021 by Garren B

Hobbit
Put my second baby pleco in my 55 gallon. It’s older sibling went in several weeks ago but the little guy needed time to get big enough that the loaches wouldn’t eat him. Well that little one is brave!! 30 seconds in the tank and he’s sitting in the middle of everyone at feeding time, loaches ten times his size buffeting him around. The two plecos found each other quickly and I got to watch some dominance sparring. It’s a little intense when they try to sucker each other’s heads, but it seems like they worked it out. And then the little one discovered the wood. Oh wow I’ve never seen such vigorous rasping. Unless I find some more otos somewhere, my 55 is now fully stocked! Two bristlenose plecos, two yo-yo loaches, two honey gouramis, two otos (I swear I’m not trying to be Noah’s ark!), three amano shrimp, nine cardinal tetras plus one neon, and whatever snails the loaches don’t eat. First fully stocked community tank ever! 😃
