What are your water parameters -
You can spot treat seachem flourish excel it can kill black brush if put directly on algae be careful not to over dose I don't no if it would kill brown algae

I would get rainbow fish numbers up so you have 6 of each species

BA tetra will every plant mybe thick leaf plants javan fern and anubis try some floating plants -
I would not treat for a week just watch your fish and water conditions and test every day I did this and noticed random ammonia spikes
