  1. I personally would do a nice big 50% water change at least before adding the new fish into QT
  2. How long have you had the corys? When you say close to 0 if ammonia or nitrite are anything but 0 that probably has something to do with it.
  3. Yeah that does seem weird but challenge accepted lol they have them listed you will just need to email them to make sure they are still available https://www.wetspottropicalfish.com/current-stock/
  4. Can't guarantee shipping costs but have you tried Aquabid?
  5. I just remembered I trimmed it just last week here's how it looks right now today
  6. In my experience you can cut it where you like I've never had die back with my Jungle Val or I just had so much that it wasnt noticeable LOL but I keep mine trimmed at the water line and its fine. Growth may stunt a little but that wont matter much if its well established.
  7. I have 13 tanks close to 500 gallons in a one bedroom apartment 😲 I know the feelings! Thankfully I'm on the first floor but I'm inspired by this and just realizing this part of the forum is here so I may just put my setups on here as well. ps. Like the first tank so far 👍
  8. I love all the snails you just have to watch overfeeding the tank and cause an explosion of them!
  9. When this happens to me I let nature take its course I look at it this way that if they were able to come up from eggs to a noticeable size they are probably thriving just like having breeding behavior means things are going well in your tank sounds like so I would personally leave things alone and congrats on the fry 🙂
  10. Hi, Just like guppies endlers may not be the best choice but the tetras should work out well dont worry about the hard water especially if you get them locally they will have been kept in the same type water and lots of farms/wholesalers have hard water also. As far as for the bottom I would get a small group of corys just feed appropriately for everyone and shouldnt be a problem.
  11. I was just about to edit my post and add the same thing basically lol
  12. Have you tested your tap water? Is there nitrates coming out of the tap?
  13. I've heard its sensitive but I've also used it and Excel without issue but I also didnt full dose everyday just to be safe.
  14. Hi guys thanks for the responses! Yes when I've been looking into this seems to be the question of high light which is a 4ft Nicrew Classic LED Plus 36 watt (wasnt sure if I could link it here) @Lizzie BlockIts a 55 gallon tank using the light above its been set up 4-5 months using Eco Complete and coop root tabs, easy green and a couple different Seachem products and the last time I ordered some Tropica was May but I had some before then too probably 4-5 pots I think. Ask away lol!
  15. If you buy all the fish at the same time to put into the same tank its the same thing as quarantine unless you are doing salt there's no harm to plants
  16. In my experience yes its the eco complete it seems like anything with a really small or stringy type root structure will take forever to take hold and even if it does it wont be dense I personally think it has to do with the size of the granules. I used to love it and have it in all my tanks but that was before finding out the downfalls of it.
  17. Hi all, Not sure how well the color from the pic will show this but I had stocked up on some of these a long time ago from the COOP and had kept them in pots when I finally planted them they have now turned almost like Pink Panther or something anyone else experience this? Maybe they were sold incorrectly?
