  1. Now seeing your tank (which is nice btw!) this give a lot of insight.....Aside from the Ludwigia I pretty much see a ton of heavy root feeders I would be investing more in possibly root tabs than dosing a ton of Easy Green TBH. I also wonder what your light schedule is also because from the algae I see it looks like you have a ton of light going this would also be feeding into the low nitrates meaning the longer the photo period the more nutrients taken up. I would look at the lighting and possibly doing less/smaller water changes to get your water more nutrient rich.
  2. I would definitely be interested in some of these also!
  3. Sounds like a good plan to me! Just as a side suggestion also though I wouldn't flip flop too much on the water I would stick with tap or mixing because that will cause the plant to melt also trying to always adjust to the different parameters.
  4. Flourish is very watered down.....Easy Green will do much better for you also you may want to look at your lighting schedule as Java ferns dont like a lot of direct light this will make them turn black. One other suggestion is to test your water parameters to see exactly where you are at with everything.
  5. I would first say if you have those parameters and only the one Betta causing a load really you could go much further out on your water changes and this would allow for more nutrients for your plants especially now that you've added more. I wouldn't keep the lights on more than 8 hours and dose 1 pump easy green per week to start.
  6. If you are using ICH-X (which is great btw) I actually recommend not raising the temperature as this makes stress on the fish and possible bacterial infections more likely a long with what they are already dealing with. I stopped using heat and just dosing what is recommended and had much better results.
  7. Trust me I'm with you I'm struggling too I have like 5 empty tanks as it is so why am I thinking about buying more!!!!!🤣
  8. This. I believe the only other time it really matters is for breeding.
  9. I'd put some Dwarf Sag in the back and Anubis on the wood that combo will be nice letting the Sag grow tall and shade out the Anubis.
  10. Ahhhhh ok I might have missed that part 🙂 but whats weird is I did it the same way in media bags capped with gravel and really didnt do anything to my PH
  11. Didn't read through every post but I would highly suggest capping any active soil with something to avoid these type situations (sorry if this has already been suggested)
  12. Did you try asking your shop to order some?
  13. Even if it were it would still throw things out of balance because certain plants would still be getting that much more light if you have a heavily planted tank it probably wouldnt be an issue assuming you are testing your water.
  14. The suggestion of floating plants would be a good one depending on the flow of the tank unfortunately Anubis is a very slow growing plant and where you have it really close to the light so the only real way to combat it would be to get some shade or move it altogether lower in the tank anything else is probably just going to be a temporary fix.
  15. The sword needs way more nutrients that the crypt you want to target feed it more root tabs. You’re getting algae from too much something so in my opinion you don’t have have enough plants growing to warrant that much co2 and 12 hours of light dial it back and add more plants.
  16. How long has the tank been setup with the plants? One very strange thing about your parameters is having such hard water with such a low PH not sure what to make of that. Also like you have already stated this needs more plants especially if you are injecting Co2 and 12 hours of light plus it kind of looks like this tank is getting sunlight also I would change all of those things just based on your pics. edit: Actually just figured out why your PH would be that because of the Co2 silly me lol
  17. First most important question would be have you tested your water and what were the results?
  18. Why not chip one down to accent the other big one?
