  1. Me and my son went down to the creek today, him to do a little fishing, me to do a little driftwood hunting for the new 55 gallon:
  2. maybe I got lucky ot sure but all was good
  3. I have used Fenbendazole and had no die offs with my snails.
  4. Good luck I hate the easy tabs(sorry cory) darn things are pure hell to keep on the bottom of the tank. Now if they would make them were they didn't float........
  5. I have 8 tanks 150, 100, 55, 40, 36, 30, and 2 10 gallon, when I do water changes I use a 5 gallon bucket and treat 5 gallons at a time cause I feel safe doing it that way. I only do water changes about every 3 to 4 weeks and if I can I go longer... With that said you can treat the whole tank and go straight from water hose to tank but you have to treat for 55 gallons instead of 5 I think, could be wrong about that.
  6. Thanks for the advice folks. I wish I had one of them there organics barns close to me🤨 like @Streetwise has. That would be super nice.... I will update my tank set up once I get started if I can, Working so many dang hours at work cause nobody wants to work cutts down on a lot of my time, matter in fact I'm at work now, most of post are done when I'm at work.
  7. anybody have any advice on this question??? if not I just may take the chance and find out the hard way🤪
  8. you could probly get away with 75 but I would go no cooler than that
  9. think of it this way what happens when stuff gets hot(exspands) when stuff gets cold(shrinks) after so long of that it may effect the life of th tank or may not.
  10. @StreetwiseI have never used organic soil but I'm about to set up a new tank( I have a catfish that has out grown his 30gallon), so with this said will any organic soil work even the ones you can buy at home depot??
  11. just my experice with test strips, never trust them.....
  12. TDS can be affected by fertilizer, I never worry about TDS but that 9.5, can be a killer and is not good, I'm not sue African cichlids would live long in that
  13. easy strips can cause issues that you only thought you had, Ilike to be right the first time.
  14. that phone is done for..... easy fix, get one that is water proof
  15. happens a lot to tanks that are going through a cycle
  16. Its been a round for a whlie now, I have used with no issues( just last week), one tab per 10 gallons. each to his own

    Pea puffer

not sure but if your talking about what looks like little white specs on him it could be ich
  18. understand but at least you can buy it and have it on hand and is like Furan2, maybe not the same but better than not having any.
  19. Lot of folks looking and can't find it, did a little digging and this prduct(Jungle fungus clear) has the same ingredients nitrofurazone and furazolidone
  20. I treated my Green Terror that had haole in the head with seachem metroplex, seachem focus, and Vita-chem mixed together with his food. The mixture worked very well and all sighs of HITH was gone in a few days..
  21. Make sure you water test it for at least 24 hrs..
  22. you can mix distilled water in with your water changes, that will help lower your GH, I would keep the KH where its at or there about https://www.aquariumcoop.com/blogs/aquarium/ph-gh-kh
  23. I would put the puffers in the 29gal, that way if you do get more puffers you have the room, sounds like you want more puffers so stick with the 29 as the puffer tank
