What is the difference between a 40b and a 55 wouldn’t the 55 be bigger

So I am gonna build a tank for my axolotl for when he’s an adult (around 6 months out) but I want to get a wild type axolotl for him to live with of the same sex could this be a problem and my second question is I could either move my discus into a 75 and use there 55 for the axolotls or just buy another 55 witch would you go with and why

Are water softeners harmful to fish

Ok I just didn’t Know sometimes the most random things can hurt them lol -
So my family was thinking of getting a water softener installed on our well but I was wondering if this could harm my fish

I’ve never had a marine land tank but I have many of there other products and they are pretty good quality -
I’ve never had a problem finding them that’s kinda strange

I would do 2 fluval e 200s but the bigger you go the easier it is on your equipment

Update I treated her with aquarium salt las night before I went to be and I haven’t seen her do it at all her parameters where the samed usuall

I don’t quarantine I and I probably never will I’ve never had a bad experience with not quarantining even back in my early days when I “rescued” fish from dirty tanks with dead fish in petco and pet smart

I should be able to get those water parameters tomorrow It was literally next on my list to test when my api kit ran out I should be getting another tomorrow morning

Thanks I think it is flashing I am trying to get a vid but she only does it ever 10-20 minutes if it is flashing what could cause it

It doesn’t really look like any of the sbd vids I watched and she doesn’t have problems going up or down she will just randomly fall and then spring back up almost like she’s tripping

I recently noticed my convict chiclid chiclid will swim and then fall down on her side hit the substrate then spring back up immediately all within around 2-3 seconds I tried to get a video but I couldn’t I will keep trying and if I do I will add it

Yeah I have that exact filter in a 30 and 75 I don’t have one just because I’m to lazy but I would also add a pre filter on the filter straw
