    Hey all just wanted to share This is my new hognose I should be picking up this weekend. update I ended up not getting that hognose because of some issues I discover with the seller but I am getting a conda hognose instead (2nd picture)

    It is over 1 year old I don’t know it’s exact age but I’ve had it since December 2019 all I know is I got it as and adult it’s about 12”-16” I would say I haven’t ever measured it. But if you are going to get one don’t put it in with tetras it will eats them, I’ve also had a very hard time finding them during Covid since they are imported from Africa

    They are very active and if you have multiple witch you should they will play like when I took this photo this one was playing with his reflection. The only issues I have with them is they can be very sensitive to parameters at first since they have it be wild caught and they come from Africa so I haven’t been able to find any since March of 2020 so I currently only have one unfortunately since my other 3 passed due to the sensitivity I talked about. But this isn’t something you should worry about as it’s rare to see this as-long as you have good parameters and they are very hardy and I love to watch them eat

    Why don’t you like discus or angels I’ve never understood why people don’t like them as I am a discus and angel fish keeper mainly

    I absolutely hate gold fish they to me are the ugliest fish out there and they aren’t very fun to keep

    When I was 12 I went to science camp if you don’t know want that is it is basically a place where you go and learn about nature things usually anyways I had my mom taking care of my fish and the only thing she did was feed them at the time a had a 29 gallon with around 7 electric yellow chiclids and one Decided to kill all the others so when I got back they where all dead even the ones that did the killing due to the amount of ammonia that was so high it went off the chart and my room smelled absolutely horrible

    I have a traxxas 2wd slash that I’m turning into a scale monster energy trophy truck,a 2wd stampede vxl I am extremely angry with as it just killed its second servo in 3 months and its on its second motor 2 days before, a Lodi rock Rey, and a axial scorpion crawler

    I know you said without killing the snails but if I where you I would get a puffer of some sort and feed it the snails,you could also take them to the place you bought them but they still might end it as puffer food

    I’ve never personally kept shrimp but I’ve heard that they are extremely sensitive to water changes

    Could I put bio balls like in a canister filter as pre filtration in my hob filter

    Like you said the 10 gallon wouldn’t work long term but this could happen to the angel if it is kept in there too long
