Welcome to the forum, I also live near the windy city. Nice looking community tank you have there :)

I agree with teaching them to swim asap. Going through that now with mine and teaching them how to handle themselves and be comfortable in the water is so valuable. Also I've employed chicken wire pond coverings before and if it's secured well it can also be a deterrent.

I put mine up on cinder blocks so they are too tall to fall into. That makes it easier to maintence and observe too.

anyone else feel free to take and run with this

What do you like to feed your nano fish?
TheDukeAnumber1 replied to Jess's topic in General Discussion
I totally agreed with you until I pre-soaked them for a few minutes. Once they absorb a little water and soften up even the tinyiest of fish can gobble them up. -
feelin pretty memey today

@Hobbit @Aubrey I suppose we should decide if we want to try the task of going live with a zoom call, or to do an 'on your honor' thread with photos. I think I favor the thread idea unless someone else feels strongly enough to host a live call.

A meme's greatness isn't measured in views, likes, or reactions... it is measured in how many keyboards get spat upon because of it. 🙂

@Aubrey I did give this a little thought. I think crunchy tacos are a must, Taco Bell or Taco Johns tacos should be the standard IMO. Home made or alternative tacos should be allowed as long as the shell is crunchy and the taco weight is similar to Taco Bell/Johns tacos. And subcategories are a great idea I think.

Meme lord 😂.... ty. I have adopted Cory's strategy of under promise and over deliver. I have no graphic media credentials, fancy software, or extensive experience in the matter... but I would give it the old college try :P

Literally the thought in my head as I scrolled down lol. I wonder... is there a possible future where the Co-op sponsors a car like this 😛

It shouldn't be an issue, where I live copper is required by code for wated supply pipes and I haven't had issues with it. But the ACO has us covered just in case ACO copper test kit

Seems analogous to the "blog" section on the ACO website. ACO Blogs Maybe the articles section can/should be modeled after it? Anyways I like the idea.

10-23-2020 This will be my last pre dated entry, further enteries will be current. The center stone being close to the light grew more hair algae than I was willing to deal with so I switched it out for a short one just to mark the center of the tank. The plants filled in more, I added fertilizer very infrequently and the fish population steadily grew.

The meme thread gets bumped off the front page in under 48-hours! Unacceptable! This cannot be allowed until AFTER the meme stream!

Working on a new product. I would love feed back.

@BBQRacer This is what I meant by pocket for a magnet. I did forget to say earlier I like your designs, and wish you design success. -

NEVER! I only read things once and in a haphazard manner! You don't have to stop the print to embed a magnet. Just CAD a pocket about .5mm larger than the magnet dimensions, Your print quality looks fine so it shouldn't have an issue bridging over the top gap without supports. Neodymium magnets are small and some even come pre coated in epoxy. Maybe, unlike me, your typical customer has faith in suction cups and doesn't want magnets though, I was just trying to offer some feedback.
