  1. With my plans to eventually set up a porch pond, I had considered getting a camera setup underwater so I could broadcast it on Twitch or Facebook, etc. Looking around for my needs it seems to be tough to find EXACTLY what Im looking for. A GoPro isn't an option because I can't really set it up to run continuously with external power (at least that I'm aware of) so I'd be limited by battery life, and wi-fi (which isn't a deal breaker). I can find several products that claim to be "Waterproof" but I'm not sure that would mean the same thing as submersible as it seems to just indicate it's safe for weather conditions and it leads to mostly security cams or dash cams. The closest I've found is this model: Barlus Underwater Koi Pond Camera With my only issues being I'm not sure exactly how an IP camera works, and its a little pricey for my limited budget. Does anyone here have any experience with filming underwater? Ideally I can have a dedicated laptop set up pretty close to the porch pond (10-15' tops) so if I could just find a webcam that was submersible I think it would work. I don't need 1080p, but I do want at least 720p. Any tips would be awesome!
  2. I've also put them at the bottom of the little pots too, and that did work great, sticking them in co-op's Easy Planter is great too. With our Eco-Complete, I was having those dang capsules work their way up from the bottom of the substrate, so I'll figure out a solution next time I apply them.
  3. This talks about it a bit. Its just a matter of putting them in your substrate. (The hardest part for me with co-op's tabs is they REALLY want to float!)
  4. Now she's talking yellow substrate, blue Neo shrimp, and chilis. 😉The Koi would be a neat choice if we can pick out the right color. @TheCzarista
  5. AquaBid might be your best bet, or try to find a specific breeder.
  6. I use AquaHuna when possible, rules of the forum dictate that we do not discuss competing websites. AquaHuna is the preferred shipper of Co-Op, and they are legit. You also get a small discount with the Aquarium Co-Op code. Learn about them here!
  7. Thanks for turning me on to those by the way, great little tanks for the price point.
  8. Bobbie gives great advice about starting the community first. Otherwise the whole tank is his turf.
  9. They have their 6 gallon cubes on sale right now, I'm really thinking I need to snag one.
  10. @Patrick_G now you need to do these massive pickups weekly, and do it in film form please. Remember to perfect your rubber band removal techniques.
  11. So @TheCzaristaand I (sometime in the future) want to set up a Themyscira/Wonder Woman themed tank sometime in the future. Looking around these guys really caught our eye, but there's so little info out there on them. There's a small snippet on Select Aquatics, and it looks like they only get 1.5 inches, but I dont know a thing about their behavior. I believe it said good for species only tanks which would work great for this tank idea. Just curious if we could keep one or a pair in a 6 gallon cube, and what their behavior patterns are. Anyone with some expertise that can advise a yearling fishkeeper?
  12. Welcome Nerm! Man I'm really liking that crab!
  13. They will come out and play all day long, but if you go close to the tank to feed them they immediately hide in the plants 😉
  14. We have 11 green neons in with a mystery snail.
  15. Man you done good! Those gouramis do look great in that nano, where's the other stuff headed off to? We like our Green Neons, but they sure seem to be super shy.
  16. Im going with 6 guppies, so with endler's you could probably do at least 8 as others have suggested. But you know you wanna breed em. 😉
  17. Montana’s Famed Trout Under Threat as Drought Intensifies Sad news with the heat and lack of rain.
  18. Im using easy green every other week or so in ours. If the nitrates are high I skip it. I'm not a plant guru by any means, but ours do okay!
  19. We have fairly high ph hard water, and we have great luck with Swords and Anubias. Floaters do great too. We also have one dwarf lily that just took over a tank! Its amazing.
  20. Well dangit, I could have used the BOGO on the corydoras. At least I got my little discount at AquaHuna 😉
  21. I've been really impressed with co-ops Fry Food. I've also crushed micro pellets for my CPDs when they were younger. But they prefer the fry food.
