I just got a rubber lip pleco that is about 2.5 inches. I know that you are not supposed to net plecos but how else can I safely move it?

Ivy works well but beware spider mites. -
That's not my picture. I didn't take any pictures because I was in a rush and didn't want to leave it in the tank. Sorry for any confusion.

One of my ember tetras died over night suddenly. It had no symptoms yesterday, and the rest of the school is doing fine. The circled area had turned green and one side was very pale.
-
Mine are always hiding because I got some ditherfish that have failed their job, not naming names or any thing. cough cough(ember tetras).

a small school of Brigittae rasboras would look great in any nano tank.

Thanks @Keeg, how well do the orchids do emersed? @anewbie what is pso? I am probably just being stupid, but I can't think of it for the life of me.

For those of you who don't know or are confused, immersed is under water, emersed is growing out of the water. I haven't tried very many plants, but of the ones I have grown monstera deliciosa is my favorite. It's the big one by the way.

Theoretically anything could explode at any time, the chance of that is extremely small but still.

What are these tiny jumping bugs in my mini pond?
Various Vivaria replied to Alec's topic in General Discussion
I agree with @Guppysnail, those look like springtails, they are beneficial as they eat mold, and the fish will eat them. -

On a happier note anyone looking to raise tadpoles, they love to eat banana. -
Of course I was stupid enough put the banana slices in my tanks then walking away and not checking until this morning. The little banana slices were enough to cause an amonia spike. My advice to anyone trying this, put it in very small amounts.
