  1. Your garden is like a botanical species fairy land every place you look.
  2. There's a tiny LFS here, the owner is more concerned about selling product over livestock, but does keep run of the mill guppies, comet goldfish, small danio's and albino cats so he can call it a pet shop. I've seen Cory's many times with fin rot getting to treatment stage and offered to nurse them back to health if he was going to give up on them. He's not at all interested in fish and refused to re-home or save them. Would rather see them die than give them a chance.
  3. I was just watching this on tv an hour ago. DIY Guy moving his Archerfish... they are very cool! Yours also spit?
  4. @xXInkedPhoenixXCute! Well done, paper I find harder to work with as it is not as forgiving. I'm waiting for someone to post some Cranes...
  5. Anyone do Origami? I find it a great stress buster and nice gifts packaging for small things. I work mostly with discontinued wallpaper books making supplies free.
  6. My greatest surprise is obtaining a growing shrimp colony started by only 4 shrimp after going through ellobiopsidae disease. Berried shrimp galore now. My biggest disappointment... learning the benefits of dirted tanks after the fact.
  7. Highlights your shrimp beautifully.
  8. A few of the bug free flowers and last years Coleus. Can't remember the variety of the spotted petunia's, they are showy. The Autumn Glory didn't have any problems in the heat.
  9. Or that funny face where they are open mouthed and showing their teeth..
  10. They might feel a lack of business eventually. When I was nursing, the first thing I usually did arriving at work was to check to see if my patients were sound and breathing. I would probably be that way if I worked in a fish store too!
  11. @JettsPapa I don't use my main oven much now either, just the burners and a quality toaster oven and microwave. Bread goes in the oven though.
  12. If you want to go cheap and fast, crinkled aluminum foil taped to the back. I like that it resists any water stains.
  13. I gave away my traditional Presto pressure cooker...I don't have to watch or time the Instant Pot. Also seconds as a crock pot and fast sauté. Soup broth from a whole chicken or rotisserie carcass is rich and tasty. I use it frequently compared to my food processor. Easy clean too.
  14. @Patrick_GIs the scent quite heady like Stargazers or more drifting and delicate?
  15. One day I had nasturtiums, the next day I had none.... fracka fraggin Cabbage Moths! They eat their weight.
  16. I like the best of both worlds, back to the earth and high tech. Can't beat an Instant Pot, makes the best potato salad, you can do the eggs and taters together and the egg shells peel right off. Tender roast in no time at all. Keeps the temp down in the kitchen in hot weather. On the other hand when I make bread or pizza dough I like to grind my own with this vintage flour mill.
  17. I hate turning the lights in one tank on in the morning, as they don't like being woke up and zing all over the tank like a pinball game. I have a slice of rock they attach to with a piece of driftwood over it, that's where they hang their hats.
  18. But make sure your tank is covered well, they are little escape artists.
  19. Not just a store, but it's people. Don't think there are enough Cory's, Dean's, Jimmy's, Robert's, Irene's, Randy's to go around! If I ever cross the border, a visit is on my bucket list.
  20. I have never noticed any problems with mine bothering fish, keeping the same fish as you and mine are full size. They keep to themselves mostly, but are now coming out to enjoy a zucchini slice.
