  1. That sounds good to me, although you might want to remove a lot of plants, or do a lot of water changes due to the amount of ammonia the decaying plants might cause? Honestly I'm not too sure of anything right now... If nothing changes or it gets worse during the salt maybe add some meds too. (Or start off with them, probably either one will work.)
  2. It might be, although it seems to have a bit more of a wider shape than an anchor worm?
  3. Probably, either that or maybe just start out with some aquarium salt? I would just treat the whole tank incase it's infectious. Although I saw a CreativePetKeeping video where they used a clear jar filled with water to "net" the fish and it didn't seem too stressed. It might be a planaria or flat worm too like what @Colu said? Honestly I'm stumped but would probably just treat with Maracyn and Paracleanse to be on the safe side. (Maybe IchX too since it has antifungal properties?). Maybe @JamesB@Colu, @Fish Folk, or @FriendlyLoach would have some ideas?
  4. Agreed with @Colu, could it possibly be some sort of fungal or bacterial growth on top of the old injury? (Idk though, honestly it might a long shot)
  5. Hi, I wondering if anyone were to know if it was possible the muscles are buried inside the moss ball? I got one that was packed in late January that froze during shipping and came to me in an olive drab colour. I kept it in my aquarium for probably a week or two, I didn't notice anything on it, and cut it in half before throwing it out because I was fairly sure that it was pretty much dead and wanted to see what was on the inside of it to learn more for the future. I didn't notice anything but then again I didn't mince it finely like garlic.
  6. I was browsing through the Petco website just now and went to look at substrate and saw this: Petco sells cereal now apparently. (Although honestly as long as you and your fish like your tank it's a good tank/aquascape)
  7. *Whistling* Nothing to see here just me accidentally uploading a description of a live stream with NOTHING changed at all.
  8. Hi everyone, randomly what percentage of the plants in the hobby are essentially the same genetically speaking? Since a lot of the time plants like water sprite, anubias, pearl weed, etc are all propagated by just cutting parts off and planting them. I'm excited for what some people from the industry, like @Cory have to say about this.
  9. Like my signature says, water is generally, but not always a good idea, also be careful since it's not shrimp safe. On a serious note probably a bit of cover, such as wood, rocks or dense planting. Also some broad leaf plants for both shade, and as an area to rest.
  10. Idk why, but I love the classic tetras like the neon tetra, and rummy nose (As soon as I get anything larger then a 20 gallon I really want to get one of those tetras (or a Macropodus ocellatus))
  11. @Fish Folk lol, yeah it's also amazing how far the vfx/animation has come is a short amount of time. Although some of the earlier animations/vfx like the Enterprise D or DS9 are classics the modern films look amazing, especially on the lighting. I love the look of the Crew Dragon Capsule, and can't wait for the Boeing Starliner and Starship in the future. Crew Dragon - Version 2 Also this game/simulator from SpaceX is really good if anyone wants to try: https://iss-sim.spacex.com/
  12. Honestly I really like the recommendations since if I'm needing to look at some product information related to a post I can go directly there through with just hitting the icon rather then going to a new tab then searching "AquariumCoop.com" then searching for the product. Just a small thing, but it's really nice (at least for me)
  13. Hi, sorry, I also don't know the answer, but this is definitely my favorite title that I've seen in a while lol.
  14. Hi, so I just watched a 9 hour long live stream on Starship, and maybe a few of you did too lol, so why not have a thread about it? Feel free to post anything related to SpaceX's new rockets. This thread might flop, so feel free to post whatever, the more content the better lol.
  15. @James Black don't neon tetras get to 1.2 inches normally, then green neons grow up to 1 inch? I haven't kept them so this is just what I'm reading online, also neon tetras could go with the betta, might just depend on the betta?
  16. Agreed that the colours of a neon tetra would look really good with a betta, although my only concern would be that some of them can get nearly half the size of a betta which might be kind of cramped? I really love chili rasboras (despite not having kept them lol.) Maybe green neon tetras if you like the neon tetras?
  17. Hi, some aquarium salt at 1tbsp per 1-2 gallons of water might be a good precaution, I would also dose the antibacterial meds too as long as it doesn't interact with the salt. Apart from that just some good food with a high amount of protein, bettas are hardy and usually heal quickly so as long as the injury isn't too severe she should be fine. In the future they also might want to turn down the filter, get a filter intake sponge, or get a sponge filter.
  18. Hi, so recently a stink bug pretty much submerged its self in my 5.5g with a betta and plants. Although it has been removed I was wondering if there was anything on it that might pose a threat to my fish or plants? If possible does anyone know how long anything that was on it will stay around and if it will be consumed by the plants? Thanks!
  19. Hi, not completely sure, but it looks like a scarlet temple due to the colour and the leaf shape. Either way it looks like a really good plant, I would probably just treat it like most other red plants if you can't get a good ID.
  20. I really love the warehouse tours, especially the live plants section since you can see what they're doing, then try to emulate that to an extent in your own tank. Maybe also a series of "mini-documentaries" on the story or manufacturing processes behind some of the favourite products produced under the Aquarium Coop name like Easy Green, their Sponge Filters etc.
  21. Agreed with @James Black, as I understand it as long as it doesn't take hold on the body of your fish it should be fine although you should still treat it. If it does reach his body you can also dose some aquarium salt at 1 tablespoon per 1 gallon of water, however this will be toxic to any plants in the tank. You'll also want to feed something with a high protein percentage especially since Bettas are normally carnivores in the wild.
  22. That looks really good, I love the look of the wood and the metal together!
  23. Wow, once an engine does that is it gone, or can you repair/replace parts?
  24. Water sprite also smells a LOT like cilantro for me, so... I guess I know what I'm having for lunch?
