  1. If you think you know what type of worms these are please let us know. I posted a short youtube video at the bottom of this post. I netted some floating plants out of one of my tanks tonight and then set it over a container so that it didnt drip all over my desk. Later when i went to dump the net out i realized the net had strained all of these worms out of the floating plants ans down into the container seeking water. I have no idea what type of worms these are. Apparently they were living in the roots of the floating plants i would assume eating the detritus that is caught there. Anyway they are pretty interesting and actively seek out bits of floating plants when i added them to the container. Im wondering if i should add them back into my tank or not. They seem like they would be a great live food source for small fish. Let me know what you think i should do. Aquarium Mystery Worms Video - Youtube
  2. How many subs/views would you guess is needed for sponsorships from Xtreme, Fritz, etc. ?
  3. What aquarium Related Youtubers do you Watch? I watch aquarium co-op the most but I also have recently gotten into Father Fish's Videos. I am subscribed and will watch KG Tropicals, Primtime Aquatics, MD Fish Tanks, Bentley Pascoe most of the time whenever there is a new video.
  4. Hi all, This was the best place I could think of posting these questions because this is off-topic section. So I have a large fish room in my basement but a small one in my bedroom. About 13 tanks in my 10x11 room and I have my bed and closet and such in the room as well, because that's my bedroom. So as you can probably imagine there is very slim space. I do have some stuff I can get rid of and some rearrengments that would free up my desk and a little more. I live stream on youtube twice and weeks and plan on expanding to other social media platforms in the future. I want to try and create a nice, small, budget streaming setup on my desk and here are my ideas. 1-2 Monitors - I have 2 TVs Im not using so I could pull up live chat on one and my streaming service on the other (looked online and see most streamers use two, even KGTropicals) I have a Blue Yeti Microphone - yeah not exactly a budget microphone but it is one of the best so I've heard I have a webcam with a small ring light on it Maybe a small light to clip to the desk Computer Desktop PC Keyboard and Mouse I may actually have some of this laying around but I was wondering if anyone has any good places to find these and if anybody streams on here what do they use?
  5. Second to Aquarium Coop I have really enjoyed Fishboy's videos, but he seems to have disappeared as of late. I know he was opening a store, so maybe that is it. Anyone else have any idea? I am relatively close so I was hoping to visit his store in Jersey.
  6. I thought it would be cool if the nerms put together a thread with a bunch of videos we want cory and the co-op team to do. Heres my suggestion: More Fish Room Vlogs. (obviously this would have to wait till cory moves into his new fish room/ house) I always thought it was fun when you would just go around, gravel vac the tanks, move fish around, and just do some general matnience. And it would be fun if you brought those videos back.
  7. Hello- I am trying to check the Youtube membership option using the link: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNJuJfXCKNWu4-VifYixs8A/join But on clicking on it nothing happens, it only opens the main Youtube channel page, am I doing something wrong here or is the membership available only in the US? Thanks
  8. Hey everybody I just wanted tom get it out there that I have a you tube Chanel called "Cylis Brake". It tells you everything that you need to know about freshwater fish. I only have 2 videos on now but i am uploading every week!
  9. If you could do me a favor. Post your top 5 videos we've ever made in a single post. I'd like to analyze the data in a hopes to make more content that pleases the most people. I realize it'll probably take you 10 minutes, however this would be the best chance you have for me to make more content you'll enjoy longer. I won't respond to each. Simply I'll tally up video votes and see if this data can tell us something. Thanks!
  10. Alright, I have been considering becoming a member of aquarium co-ops channel for quite some time now. But what sticker should I do? -The Shrimp -The Snail -Murphy -The Taco

  12. Who have you been enjoying lately or recently found on Youtube in regards to the aquarium hobby? Share below! Bonus imaginary points for upcoming Fishtubers 🙂 Someone I have been enjoying that I recently found has been the The Guppy Guru. I found his channel about a month ago, and it looks like he has been around for about a year. So far his videos have been very positive, solid, and informational. Obviously, by his name, he seems to focus in on guppies a lot but not exclusively. He seems to produce content fairly regularly, so that's a plus. Here is a link to his channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCtGc0kZJKzwlqFSlOdUfCNw So all y'all fine folk 🙂 Who have you been enjoying lately? And have you found any potential up and coming fishtube stars? Share below.
  13. Note: I am not trying to start a political discussion in this thread. Recent events that may be considered political have raised a concern of mine and I will be mentioning them but I am not looking to directly discuss them. Pre-election, some wrongful censorship was taking place on twitter/facebook/youtube ect. Now Google removed Parler from their app store and Amazon kicked them from their web servers and similar censorship issues are happening with the other big tech companies. I've never liked it but it is getting egregious enough to make me consider directing my dollars away from these companies, which would sadly include youtube, if things continue in this direction. I'm happy to be a Co-op member, I believe Cory does right by his members by reinvesting into the hobby and I like the gems hidden in the member videos now and then, I.E. behind the scenes looks into farms and skilled breeder setups. I am not about to pull the plug on youtube yet but if over the next year things keep marching this way I may be compelled to. In this case I can still support the Co-op through the store but I would lose access to member content which I would miss. My questions are... 1) To other members, are any of you also having this concern? 2) To Cory, under these circumstances would you reconsider making member content and support available through other means in the future? Thanks again
  14. Hello! I recently purchased a membership to Aquarium Co-Op and I love it. I would like to know how to access all the videos. In the membership page, it has a link to member videos (the first attached pic) however, Cory just uploaded his #6 fish room update and the members video link isn't updating his recent upload. In fact, there is only two fish room updates, so I was surprised he uploaded a sixth update today. Where can I find all the member videos? Thank you for your help! Erik
  15. Me on YouTube: “All the fish in this community tank get along GREAT!” Threadfin Acara: “🐟💭” Me the next day: “Now where are those tetras?” Experienced Aquarist: 😂 —————————— 🧙‍♂️“... if it can fit in the mouth, it will eventually go there!”
  16. I've noticed an alarming trend of Aquarium Co-op's youtube channel not enabling subtitles for their last 3 uploaded videos as well as the spooktacular livestream. I'm severely hearing impaired and I do mean severely. I require subtitles to enjoy and understand content. I'm a huge, HUGE fan of Aquarium Co-op but I have not been able to enjoy their youtube content lately. Many other youtube channels as well as fishtubers have consistently continued enabling subtitles, even after youtube axing crowdsourced captioning (In the middle of deaf awareness week too) Friends of mine with youtube channels have explained that it is quite simple, you check a box and youtube adds subtitles for you. Maybe they are wrong and it's far more difficult than that. The reason for this post is that I'm hoping someone can help me understand how the youtube subtitles work or maybe explain why Aquarium Co-op has stopped enabling them? Perhaps it was an overlooked mistake and maybe this post can help bring it to their attention? I hope I don't sound like a grumpy jerk, thanks for reading!
  17. I got started with fish keeping in 1995 when I was about 8 years old my parents bought me a 10 gallon tank and 4 guppies I ended up with about 100 in about a year. 🙂 I learned a lot about water changes and the cycle of life. We moved when I was 9 and my tank didn't come with us so the hobby ended there...fast forward 22 years and I was given a 55 gallon tank and I bought 12 rainbow tetras and 4 guppies. I fell out of practice over the 22 years and forgot all about the nitrogen cycle. I went on YouTube and found Cory's peanut butter M&M video (nitrogen cycle) and I was hooked. I then spent the next month watching Aquarium coops channel. I'm coming up on 2 years STT and loving my hobby. I really like being able to create an ecosystem in my living room for each specific group of fish I keep. I'm about to conquer African Cichlids and Haps. I have a 75 gallon (This is going to be the Cichlids tank) and my son now has a 55 gallon (Community Tetra tank) This hobby has really taught me patience and how to just leave nature alone and let it do it's thing. Any tips or suggestions in my new Cichlids tank I will appreciate the input. Glad to call myself a NERM! 🙂
  18. I'm watching the Halloween stream, and Dean needs a few props. What if Cory had a little rolling prop cart? How would you stock it? Battery power unit or UPS USB Nano Air Pump Airline Tubing Check Valve Never Clog Air Stone Coarse Sponge Filters Ziss Brine Shrimp Hatchery Ziss Premium Breeder Box Ziss Egg Tumbler Brine Shrimp Eggs Easy Planter @akconklin Live Aquarium Plant @akconklin What would you add? Maybe a tiny demo tank with some water? Food? Hardware? (Don't quote.)
  19. I'd wager most here are subscribed, but I'd like to see the percentage of people who actually have their accounts subscribed to the youtube channel. Also if you are not, a comment on why may be helpful for us.
