  1. I used to have the boxed set (Playback). It was great. And his old band was good too. I think it was called Mudcrutch.
  2. I think I will still try coating sticks to watch the snail antics. 🙂
  3. Went to get tacos at Tijuana Flats. Enjoyed this mural while I was there. And got some nice anubias at the LFS. They’ve been out of power since hurricane Ian, and they have fresh and saltwater tanks. Thankfully they have generators and lots of gas. Power did come back on for them this afternoon.
  4. I would not worry about it. I only worry if the shell is damaged/cracked or if snails are inactive for long periods of time.
  5. Same. Several times I thought Snoopy needed a friend because I see him glass surfing, but after reading about everybody’s territorial experiences, I think Snoopy is ok just chilling with Woodstock the little gold mystery snail. And tetra dithers. @Guppysnail you may benefit from reviewing this thread.
  6. 48 hr in the aquarium, then the power came back on and I wanted to open and close my lid so I moved it out to the glass to see how long it would go.
  7. A nano air pump on a 20000 mAh power bank ran for 52 hours for me. Maybe a little more because it was still running when I left the house, but 52 hours confirmed. Whereas my cyber power, which was like $175, ran for 15 minutes for 3 tanks- air pumps and heaters only. CyberPower was such a letdown, but it is good for brownouts because it protects from surges and you don’t have to be there to prime the HOB.
  8. There’s a bit of salt in qt now and I can’t help but think about how fun it would be to hatch nerites. I wonder what colors they’d produce. But I am sure both my nerites are male. Neither lay any eggs. One time York was bedazzled and I thought they were nerite eggs, but they were limpets. I am not sure why limpets like to ride around on snail shells. 🤷🏻‍♀️ There are plenty of other places to be that actually have some algae to eat. Also it’s kind of interesting how my olive nerite (Button) loves the food dish, but my zebra nerite (Hampshire) could care less. @Guppysnail, with all of those nerites you have, how do you keep them all fed? Don’t most of them ignore food?
  9. That’s awesome. How often do you think they will have a baby? I know for rabbit snails it’s like one per month but then MTS are another story. 🤣
  10. Is all that floating water sprite? Mine is tan on the edges too but it seems to be growing. Also all of the snails love the floating water sprite and they are always in it. Even Hampshire the nerite.
  11. Once some snails have hatched that’s it. Any eggs that were crispy (fragile, easily broke) or gooey when you crumbled were not viable and did not contain any snails. This is common.
  12. I have not either. I got a snail food kit from lifewithpetsgci.com. It had Soilent Green repashy, calcium carbonate, and cuttlebone - oh and also calciumc chips. You mix the first 2 together with hot water and let it set for 20 minutes, then you can cut it into cubes. (If you scroll down the page where you buy the product, the different recipes can be found there) The cuttlebone can be broken up and you can throw a chunk into the tank. It will slowly release calcium into the water. Same with the calcium chips but they will become powder the day you put them in. They contain calcium and spirulina, and gelatin as a binder. One nice idea for food is crab cuisine. You can get it almost anywhere and it contains the calcium they need for their shells. The newborns might not eat it at first because they go after biofilm or whatever is coating the walls of their breeder box, but as they grow they will consume it. Also my baby snails liked java moss. They liked to attach to it. Also I heard crayfish empire has a lot of nice snail food choices, although I haven't purchased from them. I plan to in the future once I get through some of the food I already have.
  13. Could be eggbound rather than disease. Tagging @Colu as well for another opinion.
  14. @TeeJay - this could be an idea for you.
  15. How wonderful! Cory babies are the cutest! Congrats!
  16. I may have spoken too soon @Guppysnail because I arrived home and the Repashy is gone and every tetra is suspiciously fat. 🤣
