    never under estimate the power of zip ties, they can do anything!!

    i think the roots just find where they want to pop up, and from there they sprout. the green and red wendetii do it for me.

    pretty much the above. everything in your 29 has all the good bacteria you need on it. a few buckets or tubs to put the fish, gravel, etc in while you drain the 29. move the empty 29 put the new tank in place, add gravel, filter, decorations etc. fill with water close to the right temp, then move the fish into their new home. should be a 1-2 hour job. none of this cycling sillyness as you already have good established bacteria.

    they can pop up anywhere once well established. i have tons of them in my 120, and looking underneath the tank, it looks like someone poured in a bowl of spaghetti with all the crypt roots. they go absolutely everywhere.

    light amount of salt wont hurt plants. heavy doses may.

    guppy fry like to do that too. usually they will work their way back out of there. id not try and dig them out as you will just as likely harm them.
