    id just keep an eye on him. maybe a dash of salt as a tonic. i suck them into the siphon on my python often. it doesnt seem to affect them too much.

    the only thing to be concerned about is that you dont bury the rhizome. other than that, plant away, tie them or glue them to objects. if you want them on the bottom, just plant the roots.

    if it does bow out, one can always build a simple wood frame around it for support.

    i wouldnt use it as a main decoration, but as mentioned above plecos like to nibble on it, and it gives smaller fish/shrimp hiding places, and provides good surface area for bacteria to grow on. your average smaller piece will probably last 1.5-3yrs depending on your water, and fish.

    a fish tape is for pulling wires through conduit etc, not for taping up your fish!

    i dont think it makes a huge difference, but id probably dose 2 times during the week. 3 or 4 pumps each time, and see how it goes for a while, and then adjust if needed.

    i dont use anything. when i do water changes i tend to end up with a damp towel. i take that towel and scrub the glass with it, then quickly go over it with a dry towel. no chemicals, and nothing extra to buy.

    being able to drop the f-bomb every third word in casual conversation is almost a requirement in the navy.

    the reason being that carbon acts like a sponge. it absorbs everything it can from the water. after a couple days carbon will have absorbed pretty much all it can. so while you can add ferts right away, some of it will be absorbed by the carbon.
