  1. well, probably people will give you money to eliminate their duckweed. so there's money in it!😲
  2. you can use just a sponge, or any combination of filters that get the job done for your tank.
  3. the problem is, if it is ich, the ich is in the tank, not just on the fish. the entire tank and its contents must be treated.
  4. dont move the plants, they will have ich on them as well as the rest of the tank. i myself would go with 4 or 5 tablespoons of salt in a 10g. if you have real hardy plants you can go up to 1tbs per gallon. even if you have to go heavier on the salt, most plants will bounce back from it.
  5. a good tote will work, but personally i use 5 gallon buckets. 1 for substrate, and decorations, 1 for fish.
  6. a few assassin snails can also help keep the pest snail population in check.
  7. the key for me is, if the silicone is still pliable, the odds are good its still safe to use. thats my story and im sticking to it. my 120 is 5 or 6 years older than your tank, and still holding water.
  8. it is the direction of the strength of the blocks.
  9. check out the silicone good, look it over for cracks, and ask the seller to show you it holds water. the bigger the tank, the more it cost, the more important it is to see it with water in it.
  10. getting close to fry time.
  11. sometimes you just have to learn a lesson the hard way. that way you dont forget it!
  12. 5 days is no sweat. give it a water change shortly before ya go if its needed, turn off the co2, and feed the fish when you get back.
  13. absolutely. every now and then one is just terrible.
  14. just finishing up doing the same to my 55gal today. moved it from main floor to basement near my 120, where i can watch them both , vs one or the other. it is a bunch of work. amazing how much junk one accumulates in the stand over a few years.
  15. if it is ich, treat the whole tank, as its in the substrate etc, besides being on the fish.
  16. i cant say whether its a good idea or not, but super glue was originally developed as a replacement for sutures for people, so..............
  17. i have alligator gar for the win!
  18. anything that looks like that on any youtube channel is pure scam. its everywhere, and youtube doesnt care to do anything.
